Are there any fit prego moms on here? If so... What kinda work outs do/did you do while pregnant? Did you use a pregnancy workout app? Was there any online videos you used? I lost 47 lbs this year and worked hard to lose it. I don't want to stop working out and gain a lot during my pregnancy. I understand I will gain weight and that's not a problem. I just don't want it get outta the habit of working out everyday. I enjoy working out and it took a lot to get past that first month of pushing myself. So any advice would be much appreciated.
While pregnant with my first, I continued yoga and was talking a jazz dance class that was so much fun! After birth, I started running 3x a week and toned up my tummy. I had only gained 15 pounds, anyways. (My baby was healthy; I just carried small.) Second pregnancy, I was pretty lazy tbh. I still gained little, 17lbs and he came early. I'm back at the yoga but not running. I also have an elliptical I'm using as well as kettlebell. I get pretty bored with weights though and can't be out in the sun for long due to lupus, so I tend to enjoy dance classes, simple yoga and stretches etc more.
You can basically do anything if your pregnancy is normal, maybe just not weights I stopped doing that but do everything else normal, obviously not run as I used to but I do jog
@hollyn216 I've never been much of a runner but I jog 2-3 times a week. I'm still early so it's not bothering me much. Thankfully. I'll have to check out that app. Thanks. :)
I tried to continue running but just did not feel comfortable, too much pressure against my bladder. So instead I walk quickly with my 3 & 5 year old in a double stroller I try to do 2 miles Mon-Fri. My girls love it. Sing to the radio and I get a great burn. I use RunKeeper but its not specific to pregnant women in any way. :)
That's great that you work out everyday, your muscles (and overall body) are conditioned for it which will make working out routinely much safer for baby.
I don't have any sort of work out advice, I would think it would still be alright to keep doing what your doing assuming your not doing super high intensity workouts. Make sure to stay super hydrated and take in those extra proteins to keep the machine running properly while it grows that baby 💪
Thanks ladies! I appreciate it!
