Hi everyone. I’m new here but I have a few questions regarding birth control.
I have 3 kids, my last one is almost 11 months. I don’t want any more kids and I was looking into birth control, especially the IUD. I’m leaning towards the non-hormonal one (to avoid the side effects of the one with hormones) but I read that your periods become heavier and it doesn’t get better with time.
So I may go for the hormonal IUD. I know with Mirena, you stop having your periods altogether after a few months.
Has anyone used any other hormonal IUD different from mirena? What are your experiences? Did you have any side effects? (Weight gain, nausea, mood switch, etc)

@spookylyn, oh wow!! I’ve been reading so many bad reviews on iud so thank you for your feedback ☺️. I think there are just a few people who have had a good experience with it.

@bee-wills4, I read a lot of bad reviews regarding the non-hormonal one. My understanding was that people seem to prefer the hormonal IUD. Do you know the Facebook page dedicated to it please?

I have heard quite a lot of bad reviews from both the hormonal and non-hormonal IUD's. There's even a facebook page dedicated to it :/

@pasy002 my hubby got a little bit funny about having the snip but every question he had was answered during the initial consultation with the urologist.

@neon.love, thanks for sharing. I don’t intend to have more babies. Hubby is fine with 3 but he doesn’t like the vasectomy idea 😔. I wanted to get the non hormonal iud but the reviews about it are not too good ( heavy periods and cramps)

Personally after having our 3rd I told my husband I would like a 4th and he said he is done. So that I don't have to have any more birth control he is getting a vasectomy. Hormonal birth control gives me migraines. Hubby says he is taking one for the team as I have done the birthing part lol.
Are you considering having more babies? I felt funny about him having the snip but now I'm kinda relieved I don't have to go back in birth control.
