So my ob suggested the mirena iud for after I have the baby.. and I don't really no to much about it. Any of you ladies have experience with it ?
@christimary0, I hear bad things about that one and ruled it out and probably gonna rule out the mirena as well because the experiences vary to widely for my liking plus it doesn't seem natural to have stuff implanted in your body anyway that's probably why people run into so many problems with it..
@klove23, 😂 yeah I worry about that too! The people I know with the implant in their arm say they really like it though! I'm going to look into that as well.
@christimary0, yes thats what I fear as well but pills just wouldn't be smart for me I'd forget to take em and be pregnant in no time lmao
I know they're best in women who have had children. People I know who have had children and get it say they're fine and it's the best thing ever. People I know who haven't had children and get it say they're in constant pain for months and then finally get it taken out. My personal fear is that it will dislodge itself out of place and pierce through my uterus causing major issues so I personally won't be getting it but will be opting for a different form of birth control, possibly back on the pill for me! 😊
ur lucky I had migraines hair loss I've gain 30 pounds being on this and really bad bleeding my first two months I had it and mood swings and anxiety@babynessa
@mommywhit2, @babynessa @steppphh well thanks for the insight ladies!! 😊
Yeah, I mean, I've heard some bad things about it too but for me it worked perfectly fine. Just because of all the things I heard though about it possibly going out of place & what not I would feel for the little string every once in a while to make sure it was still in place but it was always good
I love the nexplanon. I've had no problems with. Haven't gained weight. Haven't had any mood swing. Haven't had sever bleeding like a lot of moms say they had. No cramps nothing. Just super light spotting for my period and thats it. @brudd330
She never had any problems. Had her periods same as she always did. Never gained weight. When she took it out I was actually pissed at her because she had four girls and couldn't raise them. When I moved out of the state she called me asking for money I told her no and she said she was pregnant and I told her she was stupid, immature, needed to grow up and raise the four kids she already had. Now she has five girls. The IUD was the best birth control she's ever been on and she's been on pretty much everything from the pill to the patch to the shot.@klove23,
@mommywhit2, yeah that's sounds terrible and scary ! Id rather not get things in my body but I do need something I don't have to worry to much about like a pill so idk I'm just trying to get a little input
It's different for everyone.. As for me it worked for about 6 months then I started to get really bad cramping throughout the month and continuous spotting so I went back to my OB to have her check on it because I couldn't feel the strings anymore and come to find out it slipped sideways and started to implant onto the side of my uterus.. It was the worst pain ever when she had to get it out 😫
@babynessa, u haven't had any issues with Ur nexplanon ???
@mrstaylor, @brudd330 @rhia thank you I was hoping to get some personal experiences b though..@steppphh, yeah after BC you usually do have to wait for it to leave you system so that's understandable @babynessa and she didn't have any issues?
My sister had it. She didn't get pregnant for two years. She took it out and got pregnant about 3 months later. I've never had it I picked the Nexplanon.
I had it for like a year & 3 months or so & it worked for me :) eventually your periods get way lighter on it & even go away sometimes. I never had a problem with it but after I took it off it took me like 6 months to get pregnant, probably because my body had to get used to getting a period again & my hormones changed but other than that I ❤️'d it. I don't plan on getting it again though because I'm not thinking long term to have my next baby so I hope to get something shorter. I hope the next birth control I chose is as good to me as the IUD was ☹️
I dont have experience with it but Ive seen some posts on here saying how bad it was and I believe they have a law suit against them from the horrible side effects it has
I've heard bad on that one an the nexplaon I have this one and I'm about to get it removed cuz it's made me gain so much weight and I hardly eat and its making my hair fall out and as for the other one I've heard it can move
They can implant in your uterus and make you no be able to have any more kids
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
