Had a new coworker in my class all day and I felt bad because my class was crazy today. I wasn't able to show her how I run my class fully. Well come to find out the location my daughter goes to daycare at, the assistant director is this new coworker's mother. I just found out this coworker never changed a diaper in her life and my boss told me to have her do diapers today because we were trying to lay beds out for nap. I felt bad after speaking to her mom when I picked my daughter up. I guess this new coworker went on her lunch and cried to her mother because she felt like she wasn't being helpful in my class and the kids were crazy today. I asured her mother that she did an amazing job on her first day. She jumped right in and did better than most employees that have been at my job for months now. I told her mom to tell her that there are days where it's crazy but we will get through it as a team and we can start new the next day. More days she works she will become familiar with the routine with my guidance and I will answer any questions she has. She is there to not only help me run my class and do what I say but I am there to help her and guide her to become the best teacher she can be. At the end of the day we are a team when she's in my class she can depend on me as I will depend on her.
