Cows milk*

Arlo has 1 formula bottle of 6oz at night, in the morning with his breakfast he has does milk in his cup so he's sort of used to it, giving it a couple more weeks then taking his night bottle away as he doesn't want it anyway xx

@laurabump27 yeah and then every day or every other day change it to 6oz formula/ 2oz cows then 5oz formula/ 3oz cows etc! I know some people just do a straight switch so you could try that if you wanted but it's quite a change (and Erica wouldn't have it) so I think it's a bit kinder on their little tummies! I started give her baby vitamins too since on cows milk xx

@genieh ah.. so if he normally has say.. 8oz u would do 7oz formula and 1oz cows?

And then increase.

@laurabump27 😊 no problem! Erica completely rejected it to begin with so I mixed it with her formula and just gradually used less formula and more cows milk! TMI but it did change her poops for a while they went lighter and yellowy colour but back to normal now so try not to worry too much if that happens with Charlie! Xx

Charlie has 8oz in the morning and 9oz for bed but i can tell hes getting fed up with the morning bottle now too.

I started the transition into cows milk still in her bottle when E turned 1 and then was on it fully and off formula after a few weeks. I got her off the bottle once she was used to cows milk so by 13months she was off the bottle. I have munchkin 360 cups and a Nuby flip it cup. She also started rejecting her morning milk so I stopped giving her milk in the morning now- although she still has it on her weetabix. Now she has around 9oz before bed in her Nuby cup. She also has yoghurt and/ or cheese most days☺️ xx

Liam still as 2/3 bottle's of cows milk a day he doesn't like any cups yet xxx

@laurabump27 She just has a bedtime one now. She was never interested after her breakfast lunch or tea so she has water or juice xxx

My HV lady said not to give them like formula bottles after 1 like tommee tippie ones, to give them cups instead @laurabump27 xx

He can have cows milk at one but he doesn't need to be on it my daughter is nearly two and is one the 1-2 cow and gate milk she hates cows like tried everything she use to have about 14ozs of it a day at one now she is drinking double that she loves it haha my son who's just turned one has 2 7oz bottles he uses his beakers for water but I like giving him his milk in a bottle still xx @laurabump27

@laurabump27 I first put skylas formula in with a bit of full fat milk and did it that way for about a week and then I changed one bottle a day to full fat and the rest formula and then after the box of formula was done just went onto full fat and she's had that ever since she transitioned really easily I was surprised x

@mum2sky he has water in a sippy cup now but bottles for milk.

How do you wean them onto the milk?

I'm not sure how much he should have exactly maybe look online but they say to try and wean them off the bottle and have milk in a sippy cup. And yeah full cows milk at 1 but slowly wean him onto it x
