I just read a post of a mom getting bashed about how she sleeps on her back pregnant cuz she can’t sleep in her sides…

@lana2018, I talked to my dr about it... he laughed and said it was def a myth and just don’t do heavy lifting... reaching does not hurt the baby

For most of my pregnancies I slept on part of my stomach and side because of my hips hurting alot. Normally I sleep on my right side even though you're not supposed to, sometimes I end up falling asleep on my back as well. As long as the mom is getting enough sleep and her doc isn't concerned, another mom shouldn't bash or mom shame her.

🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I slept on my back like 95% of the time. I’m not saying it’s okay for everyone to do it, but I did. Carter is a healthy happy baby ♥️

Oh my... thanks for your post here. I wake up in the middle of the nights catching myself sleeping on my back an i kid you not i turn as quick as a fat kid turning to chase the ice cream truck. Lmao. I get afraid too but now i know its not as bad as what people say. My thighs are pretty much beat up by now.

I ask my doctor about the dangers of sleeping on my back she told me it is ok left side is recommended but the back is medically fine she said whatever is comfortable for me

I sleep on my stomach AND my back. For this baby and that last 2. And they’re all fine. Tell whom ever to go kick rocks with their shoes off 🙄

@leanna22cisneros, sounds like you will do a great job! I wouldn’t even be concerned just know you are the babies mom, you are always right, and you know what it best for your bundle of joy! Makes the biggest difference with parenting!

@leanna22cisneros, yup! Lol he has manners and says please and thank you, gives me a hug and kiss good night every night so I think I am doing an okay job lol

@leanna22cisneros, exactly! I know I’m not! My kid was also formula fed after 6 weeks and sometimes I give him popcorn for supper! I’m just trying to make him happy 😂😂

@caseysmommy92, your closer to your due date then I am! But yes def get sleep in before you have a new born and a toddler to take care of! I babysit 3rds sometimes for a new born and gosh I value sleep so much!

@leanna22cisneros, yes thank you! And we don’t know everyone’s situation! I actually can’t lay on my sides cuz it’d kill my hips! I also sometimes eat sushi when I know o am not suppose to but I crave it so bad 🙈 I try to stay away from it the most part but it’s literally my favorite and I only eat it cooked lol

@theinkedmommy, oh heck no! My husband learned that first time around with my son and he tells his friends never wake a pregnant women it’s the worse idea ever! 😂😂 I have read that but my OB just never pressed concerns on it 🤷🏼‍♀️ she was more concerned if I was sleeping or not cuz end of my pregnant I wasn’t lol

@paigerue2013, yeah even though we are all creating life no pregnancy is the same and we shouldn’t judge them like they are

@caseysmommy92, did the same thing with my first pregnancy and doing the same with my second cuz I need sleep! We seem to both have toddlers so we both know sleep is precious! 😂

@leanna22cisneros, right that is true! Some are but women don’t need to bash other women for it! Or tell them their baby is going to die! That just horrible and mean :(

@paigerue2013, I believe in some circumstances some of the myths are problem true depending on the woman and pregnancy, but for the majority of women it doesn’t hurt the baby or them

@theinkedmommy, lord Jesus I’m sure you had some heart attacks when he did that lol... I try not to sleep on my back, but sometimes I just wake up like that... I go to turn over in the middle of the night and I guess only make it half way with my big pregnant self 😂

@paigerue2013, When you sleep on your back, your uterus can press down on one of your major blood vessels which can cut off blood flow to the baby. Every time my husband caught me asleep in on my back he’d pull me back over on to my side. 😂 He’s lucky he didn’t die.

@leanna22cisneros, I think people make things up so us pregnant people can’t do certain things cuz they don’t want too lol I literally do everything normal in my day to day life except I don’t drink my wine anymore 😂

@paigerue2013, exactly like yoga is supposed to be good for you while pregnant 🤔🤔🤔 so explain that lol

@paigerue2013, my dr makes me lay on my back for 30 mins to do the stress test now every week ... I’m pretty sure it can’t be that bad

@leanna22cisneros, also people exercise that contains stretches like that and they don’t tell you that you can’t?

@leanna22cisneros, seriously people take things too far 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ dead serious sleep on my stomach right now and I didn’t with my son until I was almost 30 weeks 🙈🙈 it was comfortable! And after that I slept on my back and my son was perfectly fine!

@theinkedmommy, right!! And my Ob told me that it won’t hurt the baby unless it’s positioned some way and then the placenta? I don’t know she told me not to worry about it cuz I slept on my back cuz it was the only way I would get any sleep lol she said I needed sleep so do what I could to get sleep lol

It’s true that it CAN hurt baby, but doesn’t guarantee it. Sleeping on your back doesn’t make you a bad mom. 😂

I got yelled at one day because I was reaching for something and my arms were above my head... they told me I was going to strangle my baby 🙄🙄 dr verified they were crazy lol
