So I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me realistically he could deliver little babe once I hit 37 weeks. Because I got the steroid shots to help mature his lungs faster when my pre-eclampsia was acting up, he’s ready whenever. If my blood pressure goes over 140 over 90 twice in 6 hours then I have to call him and he’s going to take me in. It’s getting so real.

@raquely, I do!

I hope your delivery goes well! If he does deliver at 37, that’s so close! Good luck!

@raquely, well Ive been diagnosed since 33 weeks I’ve had to go to see my doctor twice a week. They do the stress tests, and he’s been measuring my fluids via ultrasound once a week. They want to keep a close eye on baby to make sure he’s growing properly and it isn’t affecting him. Also once I was diagnosed my doctor made me go and get steroid shots to help mature his lungs faster just in case I had to deliver him early. But other than that he put me on very strict bed rest at first but my blood pressure has been really good and I don’t have high amounts of protein in my urine anymore. So he’s given me the okay to do a little more during the day, but to just not over do it!

@avahcruz, it is! Our goal is to keep him in until 39 weeks, but it’s wild to think he could possibly be here in a few days

@raquely, I think it’s if your protein is over 275 then you have pre-eclampsia. Mine was at 400 when he first tested me but now I’m way under. I haven’t experienced any swelling yet, but he’s told me it could come back in full force once I hit 37 weeks. Which I hope it doesn’t. Make sure you let your doctor know about the swelling. The earlier they can catch it the better for the both of you!
