@paigerue2013, both of my parents are as well as my grandfathers and Uncle and Aunt! My stepdad is still enlisted so as you can tell I was raised on it! I was also Set up to go in until I found out I was pregnant. I fully support gun laws. And plus changing in laws truthfully won’t make much a difference. Just like drugs, people will still find guns. People kill people.

@paigerue2013, yes me too! I always felt safe knowing that everyone was being checked. We never had a problem ever!

@theycallmemommy, when I was in high school we had to be checked and buzzed in also! We never even had a problem before hand! Just how it is now! But I’m okay with it!

I totally agree with you. People will find a way to get a weapon. I live in NJ and our taxes are high but we also have full time police at all the schools and no one can just walk in school either. The police are out in the morning when all the kids are arriving at sit right at the front door during school hours. You have to be buzzed in the school on camera, even parents. You would have to be really stupid to try anything with armed officers at the front door. It gives me a piece of mind.

I think gun shows need to be more heavily regulated though. My uncle who isn't legally allowed to own a gun walked into one to prove he could buy one and he almost bought one from 3 different vendors! I can't believe how easy it was for him, it is bad.

I mean it be great if they were able to defend our kids but there will always be that group of people to make anything good look bad and people judging our country seriously makes me mad! Especially since I fought so hard for it! (I’m a veteran) so of course I will defend the gun law 110%! Lol

@damiensmommy1117, in Ohio we have like a background check and everything to even buy a gun! Took me 3 hours one day lol and I’m military and wouldn’t think it would take that long! Lol but well worth it especially since I was buying legally!

I think psych evaluations once a month would definitely be necessary. I wouldn't mind my taxes paying for that, but a lot of people probably wouldn't like that.

@damiensmommy1117, I’m from Louisiana. I lived near an army base. So almost everyone already understands guns. So if you had teachers armed, it would be amazing. But at the same time, someone would argue “ what if the teacher shoots up the school. “ so, sadly, that will never happen. My mom is a teacher. So i definitely feel she should be able to carry a fun to protect not only herself but helpless children in case something were to ever happen.

Even if someone tried to take guns away ( which is illegal according to the constitution🤷🏼‍♀️ ) or become more strict with the gun laws, there is a black market. Just like everyone is stating. BUT people fail to understand that guns don’t kill people. PEOPLE kill people. An inanimate object does not decide who it wants to shoot and who it wants to pull the trigger. Just like your car does not perform vehicular man slaughter on its own. It breaks my heart that innocent people are injured and killed. But it breaks my heart that some people push others to a breaking point. Even if it’s not a breaking point of killing people.

Times are changing so changing a law from over 100 years ago doesn't seem that big a deal to me, but you're right just because we make them illegal here doesn't mean they won't be smuggled in from other countries. What needs to happen is teachers need to be trained and have a gun in there desk or on their person at all times. I honestly think it should be a requirement.

@mckallalynn.., I literally see moms from other country’s saying America’s government is to blame and I’m like how would you know! Lol it is literally in the amendments! So yes let’s change one Of the oldest laws we have! 🙄
