I dont understand how circumcision, breastfeeding, and molding your babys head fresh out the womb became such a big deal all of a sudden so many wrongs and people against it, havent seen the problem back then with my other three pregnancy's smh this generation gets on my nerves 😒
I didn't realize circumcision was such a big deal either... I mean it's harmless and more sanitary but apparently that's taboo now too.... Idc what anyone says, my first born had it done and this one will too. Even my boyfriend says it's better in the long run but whatever... I feel like I'm the most taboo mom in the world some days with the way I do things.
@momtothe3rdpower, exactly, as a nurse I have seen more nasty females than anything. But normal men like my husband have never smelled. But hey I'm sure these moms on these little groups know more than my teachers, men, doctors, and other men who have normal penises.
@sagwaenglish my point exactly i be fucking my own head up like didnt i not just say the judging or whatever you believe in can stay to your self everybody has they own preference smh
Shaming intact men doesn’t make any of it true. A penis will stink if it’s not washed whether it’s circumcised or not. And It’ll get diseases and infections depending on protection whether it’s circumcised or not. If we are going to have conversations about these things let’s at least make them factual.
@jaygirls, because ultimately FED is BEST. Might not be best nutrition but if it's formula what a mom can give then thats best for her child.
@josefa if you know its the best nutrition then why are you talking crap about me saying I put moms down when its a scientific fact that breastmilk is the best. I do NOT formula shame because I have had to formula feed my middle child after about 5 months breastfeeding her. I was not educated on breastfeeding then as I am now and with the issues I had throughout those 5 months. Also had I known there were places that donate breastmilk like human milk for humans I would have tried that 1st preferably over formula. When I see a post or comment saying fed is best I do like to comment because scientifically fed is required to survive but breastmilk is the best.
@tiff.momma.love, I know! It’s like it happened over night.
@josefa @tashamagolan and like I said I formula fed my middle child for 7 months. I am not saying formula is bad but BREASTmilk is the BEST.
Then state actual facts. Breastfeeding is only minimally beneficial over formula and has very very little benefits compared to formula long term. Let’s be real here.
@tashamagolan read and learned from my college classes and from the doctors and hospitals that say it. I state facts.
@tashamagolan, hahaha exactly what you said! @jaygirls, always goes and comments on all the breastfeeding posts just to put down the moms that don't think like her. Again I breastfeed my daughter and planning on breastfeeding my next one and yet i do think FED is BEST. My mom couldn't breastfeed any of us and we came out perfectly fine! In fact I have less health issues than a lot of my friends that were breastfed so 🤷♀️ All i know is that if a mom is not happy and is stressed and depressed about breastfeeding then i would say go for formula 💯 Better a happy mom than a breastfeeding nazi thats sour about everything
@jaygirls I understand what you're saying but everyone else always says FED IS BEST. You're the only person that had ever said fed is required. You must be one of those moms that think you are better than others or thinks you know everything based on what you've read or learned.
@tashamagolan when they can't breastfeed it becomes FED is REQUIRED. What part of that can't you comprehend.
I didn't mold my daughter head or to think about my son either. My daughter is 3 and my son is 12. But I never thought about doing it.
@jaygirls there are moms that actually can't breastfed for health reasons so FED IS BEST. My first was formula fed and she is very intelligent and mature for her age. my 2nd was a preemie and she had to have formula for extra calories, she wasn't able to latch. I'm currently breastfeeding my 3rd but will use some formula if I have to.
@tashamagolan, @jaygirls,
I personally go with the motto of “ fed is best, but breast is better”
I personally couldn’t breast feed and it broke my heart.
@tashamagolan ✋It's not open for discussion here. Like I said. BREAST IS BEST and FED is REQUIRED.
@jaygirls actually breast isn't best, FED is BEST
The knitted hats can come off when feeding or holding a newborn. Personally I had our son circumcised since me and my boyfriend talked about it.he had final say in the decision since he will most likely be the one teaching our son how to clean it and potty training him
@incognit0, @dee2115, damnit you guys. I fall asleep early & miss out on the love fest 😩
I just love everybody's opinions and discussions and thats what i wanted different outlooks. The head molding is something i recently started seeing people complain about for some reason nothing ive ever seen a issue on. Everbody has they own preference and beliefs on they own decisions i just hate seeing people bashing. If you and your partner agree on something whats best for your child no need to tell them they wrong smh that is all.
My son is circumcised but my boyfriend isn’t and I asked him if we had a boy in the future (since my son isn’t his) if he would want to have him circumcised and he said yes because he hates that his parents didn’t do his when he was a baby. I think if baby needs a helmet then other people can hush! Lol but I’m not gonna judge other mommy’s who do it different! I think all mommies have their reasons they do what they do and I respect that! Also I am the generation you are referring to but I’m an old school thinker :)
@glencoco i didnt say i was 100% but i was told it helps alittle lol
My opinion:
-Molding a baby's had is "ole school" and done more within the black community from my recollection... Or overall for babies whose head some kind of trauma in the birth canel.
-Breastfeeding seems to have become repopular in the last 10-15 years, which makes it controversial. At one point in time it was standard - then formula came about, like birth control etc. It was a new wave. even needed for some woman who couldn't supply.
-And circumcision, I think within last 10-15 years more people are becoming against it - but overall most Americans are pro-circumcison - or atleast pro choice about it. Some would even say it's standard, which I think it is more than not.
Circumcision is one of those things that is no one else's business. No one has the right to say what someone else should/shouldn't do with their son's genitals. No one does it for fun. 🤷
Breastfeeding if you can do it, awesome. If you can't, awesome. I think everyone should at least give it a try but fed is best. I breastfed all of my kids but my oldest son I had to put him on formula at 6-7 months because my milk dried up from being pregnant. Nothing I could do about it. But all I care about is babies being fed. ❤️
But now the head helmet things.. Who the hell has a problem with those and why?? Like someone else said, they're prescribed by doctors. 🤔
@dee2115, @incognit0, I came on this thread only to read your convo cause the first comment I see is “shut up your butt is hot af too” 😂😂😂
Just going to come here and say BREAST is BEST but obviously FED is REQUIRED.
Yes I breastfed all 3 but I also formula fed my middle child for 7 months and still firm believer of BREAST is BEST.
I wouldn't circumcise just have it pushed back.
Molding head I had no problem because I had csection babies so their heads were perfectly round.
Again BREAST IS BEST That is all 💁.... 😜😂
Also breastfeeding or not you do what’s best for your family. The nurse at my hospital said “fed is best” and that’s what I’ll go by. Even though I was unsuccessful at breast feeding both times. And head molding I’ve never herd of lol
hmm
breastfeeding: yes for me, i think its the best nutrition but i think fed is best over all. I breastfeed my children but i dont judge those who choose not too.
circumcision: I think for health reasons it is better however I believe in whatever the father has... i will not circumcise my boys because their father is not circumcised and also for other reasons: less sensitivity, etc.
molding babys head: 🤷♀️know nothing about it
I don't know if thos things are a big deal or why but i think everyone should do how they see best for their own children
If I had sons I wouldn’t have circumcised them. But idc if other moms do. I think it’s a mothers choice and they have the rite to make that choice.
The knitted hats are for warmth... if baby has a cone head it will naturally form back together on its own. Flat head from lying in one position is a different story...
People may be against the knitted hats because baby’s head releases smell that helps trigger mom to produce milk and bond
@heart_m0m, my first born had to wear a helmet. His head came out with a flat spot on one side. Every time I saw him laying on that side of his head, I turned him, and I even made him sleep on his tummy, but nothing helped. The flatspot itself was worse than the helmet.
I mean to each is own tho. Do what you feel is best for u and your child i nursed all my kids except my youngest. I got mastitis 3 times with my 15 month old son so i was over it and didn't wanna do it this time
Both my boys are circumcised i can't imagine them not being circumcised. My ex wasnt and it bothered the heck outta me. It looks gross af
Yeah my husband isn’t circumcised and he never had any infections or problems with anything related to smell or whatever. If I have a boy this time I won’t do it either. I’ll teach my son that excellent hygiene is essential and he won’t have any problems.
@dee2115 @incognit0 @amberspringer y'all are silly lol
@incognit0 not the helments some of the infant hats helps alittle to mold from what i was told maybe im wrong
@amberspringer lol i dont want what they drinking because all of a sudden people seemed blinded to everything and brainwashed lol and you are right
@incognit0, lol that’s great! My bestie is my bestie despite the penis 😂
My son has mild plagiocephaly and may need a corrective helmet. His pedi said to give it another month or two and see if it corrects itself with repositioning him to the opposite side that he favors. If not he’ll need it for 3-6 months, but 3 is more likely. As far as I can remember from what he told me, some babies are born with the condition torticollis, which is a shortened muscle on one side of the neck. This can cause them to turn their head frequently to the same side. When this happens with sleeping, the repetition of sleeping on one side causes a flattening of the pliable bones of the skull. It can also happen in utero, particularly in a multiple gestation pregnancy, as one baby can push up against another, causing pressure on the skull. We saw a baby with one at Boston Children’s when we went to see the Cardiologist and she was the cutest thing ever!
@incognit0, if it makes you feel better I didn’t think it was a baby ass 💁🏻♀️
@incognit0, yea he went in cause a tick was in his balls and woke up circumcised lol. Yea if someone doesn’t want to do then cool.
Neither of my boys are, and my husband isn’t either..I have never heard about it smelling bad. 😬
@incognit0, I don’t know but hey if the kid needs it, then the kid should have it. Yea I always rotated my kid. During naps when I was next to them, I would alternate sides. Then at night, they would sleep on their back. But when my oldest was a baby, they recommended babies sleeping on their sides so we had to get a wedge for her.
@incognit0, exactly. Why does it matter to them anyway. My husband said we are doing it no matter what. He had his done at 10yrs and is so thankful for it. He said he hears that word on the street is uncircumcised men smell. He wants our son to feel confident and plus the health benefits are a plus. My friend didn’t do her son and now he’s having so many issues at 7yrs old
It’s better to get it done now then when they are older they will forget now but sure in the hell wont if they are older. I know multiple people who had to get it done as an adult because they didn’t as a baby and they kept getting infections. I couldn’t even imagine. My husband was like nope we’re for sure getting it done. It broke my heart when they brought him back crying tho! 😞
Well my son is getting circumcised and I’m a firm believer in not keeping the baby flat on its back all the time so the head can go back to normal and honestly my youngest had some breast milk but mostly formula. I’m all for whatever is best for you and your kid. This generation has lost their damn minds. I also noticed a lot of people around my age lose their minds too. Lol something is in the water 😂
@incognit0 that's what im saying all these recalls and new chemicals now i dont trust nothing im breastfeeding least i know what im giving my baby and i see she was trying to be funny maybe im wrong but really not paying her no mind lol
@ek620 i believe 96 and up cause everybody seem lost all of a sudden im not apart of the dumbness thats why i said this generation
@ladyblauvelt.skysmomma exactly everybody got they own preference and its a option not mandatory so why judge . do what you feel and i do what i feel smh
@dee2115 not necessarily it molds the head in the same sense
@tiff.momma.love thats what I was saying on another post, that it can be a health hazard but then all the ladies there said that it wasn't completely true and it's all about hygiene which I totally get but are we gonna watch our kids clean themselves when they get older and say "hey, don't forget to pull that skin back and scrub"... No.. that would be weird...
I thought the hat was just in case the baby’s head was cold 🤔
@kendrab its a health hazard without circumcision to me with all those germs being left behind all that extra skin if not cleaned right smh
@kendrab exactly im having a boy and best believe hes getting circumcised idc what anyone else thinks its just annoying seeing people bashing like its not a option its a choice lol grow up smh
@tiff.momma.love I'd personally circumcise my boy if I have one, but I don't care what other mothers do, and I wouldn't care if they cared what I did either 🤷♀️ lol
@leroydoom yea the hat molds the head
@kendrab yea i get it but i never had a problem and now moms who consider circumcision is being bashed for it smh
@leroydoom you know when they put the knitted caps on the babys heads to give it a round shape cause when we give birth they be having that cone head lol
@bitchcraft wearing the hats to give its shape
I didn't realize circumcision was such a big deal either... I mean it's harmless and more sanitary but apparently that's taboo now too.... Idc what anyone says, my first born had it done and this one will too. Even my boyfriend says it's better in the long run but whatever... I feel like I'm the most taboo mom in the world some days with the way I do things.
I was reading an interesting article about circumcision, penile cancer is VERY rare but if the boy is circumcised his chances of getting it are cut in half since penile cancer is on the foreskin. True or not idk I'm not a doctor I was just looking at the pros and cons before I knew the gender of my baby lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
I thought the hat was just in case the baby’s head was cold 🤔
