Idk why people are offended when they find out I’m not legally married but I called my partner “hubby” why do I do that? Because I love this man and have shared, my life, my home, my heart and body with this man and we have a deeper connection than words could ever explain. And he feels the same. Last night he held me and told me in his eyes I am his wife and that a piece of paper couldn’t tell him otherwise. Right now financially getting married just isn’t a smart option for us. But we don’t “play pretend” or “play house” this is just us.

I believe as long as you two make a commitment to each other and vowed to each other that's what matters. The papers are just for the state to control your lives. Having papers don't keep people together. Lol You two are married. 😊

Coming from someone who lived with their husband before getting married, I did a full typical wedding (at least typical for my family) and I still kind of wish I just did a court house wedding.
