Since I can’t stand pain at all when do they give pain meds before the epidural? Bc when it comes to pain I’m a big sissy about it!!

I was allowed IV pain meds or epidural as soon as I wanted and felt I couldn't deal with the pain. I had the iv meds first and after they wore off I got my epidural.

I didn't get no pain meds before my epidural and the pain was pretty bad had be a 5 to get it and see how strong the contractions where getting
