How often can we take Tylenol when pregnant? I was not prescribed any pain killers with wisdom teeth pulled and I am in serious pain!!! A
@caffeine.fiend, yup! She precribed a stronger pain killer and I will have To try that for the swelling I didn’t even think about it!!! But the pain killers are working and I finally was able to eat!
I’m sorry you’re in pain! While you’re waiting for a call from the dr, would you be able to use a heating pad or rice bag for the swelling and discomfort in your jaw? Also, when my husband would have took/jaw pain he would bite on whole cloves to take advantage of the natural anesthetic in them. Hope you get some relief soon!!!!
@caffeine.fiend, ive called my Ob office jsit been waiting for them to call back 🙄 I need some sleep and this pain to just subside a little bit 😭 wish it was an easy extraction but they had to cut around my jaw and it went through a nerve so it’s just pain and major swelling going on
My dr said 500 mg every 6 hours🤷♀️
She said not to go over 2000 mg a day
@airra6900, pretty sure my ob can prescribe me with something I just have to call first 😂😂 I haven’t gotten any sleep and usually anything higher then Tylenol knocks me on my butt and my husband is gone and it’s just me and my 2 year old so I would have to have someone watch him for me
Lol I was just about to say you can’t take no ibuprofen while pregnant Tylenol is really it unless on recommend something else that safe for baby
@autism.mommy, I take baby aspirin already because I had preeclampsia with my first 😂 I finally got some sleep and count down the hours I can take Tylenol lol
@scidg3, can’t take ibuprofen when pregnant :/ lol
If your pregnant idk if you can take....but ibuprofen would be good to take @paigerue2013 hopefully you will get in touch with the OB soon!
My Dr told me pregnant women are allowed to take up to 3 325mg Tylenol capsules every 4 to 5 hours. ... but no more then that and not to exceed 2 consecutive days.
I got my one pulled yesterday as well and I took 2 baby aspirin. My OB said it was fine as long as it's not all time. It helped with the swelling and last night when I took it helped with the pain but at first it didn't help with the pain just swelling.
@damnkmar, I’m pretty sure I am dying right now 😂😂 (jokingly) I have my alarm set to call OB office right away in the morning because I can’t sleep or even open my jaw right now so that has me worried so I will probably be calling the oral surgery office too
@paigerue2013, omg i dont see how your doing it i’d be dying, hope all gets well
@damnkmar, if you see how this wisdom tooth was laying and the nerve it was hitting my ob was the one who gave me permission to get it out because it was so bad lol
@rndmshtt, I had two pulled before and don’t remember taking anything but I do remember they were easy and quick so that’s probably why! And yes it is horrible right now!
@paigerue2013, that sounds horrible! im sure being pregnant makes it worse since we are more sensitive 😩 im sorry girl!!
no clue how i did it, i pulled out all 4. then i took the medication and it made me sick, so i took a nap then at night i went out bowling ( with my chipmunk cheeks ) ate fried pickles and garlic fries 😂 i remember i tried to do salsa but that was a mistake 🤦🏻♀️😂 it hurt so bad!
wow i didnt even know you can get your wisdom teeth pulled while pregnant my dentist told me absolutely not
@rndmshtt, I don’t know how you did! They had to cut into bone Tj vet this tooth out and it was in a nerve and they left a piece of tooth in because it was of messed up the nerve so I been In pain before the numbing wore off! I told my husband I wish I didn’t do this because I hurt worse then I did before
@paigerue2013 oh no. That's not good. Hopefully they'll be able to give you something else to help
@mommytotheo, I want to call the on call OB but it is not an emergency 🙈 so I will wait to call in the morning to see if I can get prescribed a different pain killer because they ended up cutting into my jaw and that’s what is killing me!!!
i didnt take any medication when i got
my wisdom teeth pulled 🤣 strong medication makes me sick 😖
i also ate regular food ( just made sure i flushed out the area ) to prevent any food debris getting stuck and also do not take out the blood clot and just let it heal.
i used frozen yogurt and it helped with the pain hehe.
@paigerue2013 I found a bottle of mine that says every 4 hours *AS NEEDED* for 650mg(2) but I always took 325mg (1) every 6.
ETA: *
I always ask for a prescription from my ob for not precise instructions.
My OB told me if needed I could take every 4 hours but only when needed like with wisdom teeth
@shayybear, I took its 3 1/2 hrs ago lol I think I have to wait at least a half more hour for 4-6 for normal people but didn’t know if you were pregnant if it made a difference
Take as needed but do not exceed the recommended dosage. I believe.
Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no meds...
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
I do love the way people say you will know when your in labour and having contractions well I will be honest I didn't know and my pains weren't that severe till I was fully dilated I'm sure everyone has different pain levels
I go to bathroom every second and I have round ligament pain all the time
Anything I can put on a burn to relieve the pain?
So glad you were able to get some relief!!!!!
