@ccancilla3, the pain medication broke my daughter out so I went to my doctor original doctor who I've been going to since a kid and he told me to stop taking what the other doctor prescribed and only take Tylenol extra strength

I didn't have pain with mine. I was up and moving within less than 24 hours after surgery. Every woman is different. They said the more you walk the better you do. We walked a lot. Hope yours goes soon.

@jadasweet0218 well my experience it was very painful for me as I've seen other women who are up and moving around no problem within a week. I walked like a hunchback for about a month until I could stand up straight without feeling like my incision was going to tear open. The only position I could sleep in was a sitting upright position I couldn't lay flat because it felt like my incision was being pulled on I couldn't lay on my side because it also felt like it was being pulled on of course I couldn't lay on my stomach I couldn't even pick up my own DD for the first couple of weeks my SO would have to pick her up and hand her to me. The best thing for you to do is to continue moving but think of it as being on light duty at work and just give it a quick clean at least once a day to keep it from getting sore or infected. Also from what I remember breastfeeding may help speed up the healing process.

@jadasweet0218 oh okay, don't forget to make sure you keep it clean so you don't get an infection I believe they say just a little bit of warm soapy water will do the trick. I had steri-strips when I got my C-section.

@mommiesaremagical14, yea they gave me one I hardly ever use it though and they stitched it with dissolvable stitches if I'm not mistaken

@jadasweet0218 I couldn't take that either because I'm allergic to aspirin, LOL. A couple months ago I had a really bad headache and we were unfortunately out of Advil I ended up taking 2 Tylenol cuz I was so desperate and broke out in hives and got super itchy. Did they give you a waistband at the hospital? And if you don't mind my asking how did they close your incision?

@mommiesaremagical14, I can't take anything other than Tylenol for pain because I breast feed so I can kinda understand

@jadasweet0218 it's not so bad, it'll be over before you know it. I hated it too what sucked the most was the fact that I couldn't be prescribed a good pain med since I am allergic to hydrocodone/codene and acetaminophen. Which are two of the main ingredients in all the good prescription painkillers. It's different for everyone so you might heal quicker.

@jadasweet0218 it took me 2 months for the severe pain to stop to the point that I could get up, walk and pick up my dd without pain. To be honest it took 2 years for the switches of pain itching and numbness to stop. Like @n_favors said moving around is important but not too much. There is a fine line between moving to get to exercise/heal the muscles and moving till you hurt yourself. A C-section is major surgery sneezing laughing, coughing, stretching, lifting your arms. Those simple things take time to get over with no pain.

Have you been moving? The more you walk and move around the better. Sitting stiffens it up and makes it more sore
