My grandma held on as long as she could. She waited until my baby was home from the NICU and till she made sure he was healthy and strong. She got to give him her blessing at his baptism in the NICU and the day after, the paramedics picked her up from home. She was counting down the days to be discharged so she can finally hold my baby. But by the time that day came... she was on a coma and sent home on hospice. I lost a mom for the second time. She didn’t get the opportunity to hold my baby. She passed away with his little hat in her hand. But i promised her that i will make sure he always knows how much she loved him.😞💔
