@noland0827, So is my MIL she got upset that I didn’t give her a sonogram picture every time we saw the baby so my fiancé had to make a copy so she would calm down. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It literally feels like she thinks our baby is hers and I’m just a surrogate.🙄 & I’m most likely going to do that since it’ll be just his family visiting us at the hospital. I definitely don’t want her in my face right after having to push a human out of me. 🙈😅 I might just become hostile. 😂

@nessairieray, I have no choice... she lives 4 blocks away lmao but I only see her once a month because she doesn’t remember where we live... 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ she thinks I’m gonna go to her house every day after he’s born so he can see him, but that’s obviously not going to happen. 🙃

@lex_6, that’s exactly what I’m thinking of doing. My family is across the country so they won’t be visiting till 2 weeks after. It’s his family I have to deal with at the hospital. I mean, everyone else I’m okay with, it’s just his mom I’m more cautious about. I’m definitely considering not allowing visitors after 24 hours though because I also want all the time I can get to figure out breastfeeding before getting sent home. 🙈

I only want my mom and his mom there after he's born...maybe my sister...but everyone else (I have 10 other siblings and he has 2) they can all come see baby when we get back home and settled in

@babymomma2018, Yeah, I wish I could do that... but his family insists on being at the hospital. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s his mom I’m more ehhh about. 🙈

@malainaheka23 I can't say I understand how u feel...i got lucky with his parents...love them to death...just remember that no matter how annoying and bitchy she is, she loves you and loves your baby even more, she just may not know how to show it very well...my mom is like that but I just have to remind myself that she really does love me and my little family...just SUCKS at showing it...

I appreciate her excitement I just wish she didn’t over do it all the time to the point where I fear she’ll try to take him. 🙈 She has so many other grandchildren she chooses not to see so it just weirds me out that she’s overly obsessive with my baby. 😅

@babymomma2018, He’s her youngest, and she never thought he’d have a girlfriend, be engaged, or have a baby ever....so, that definitely could be the reason now that I think about it...😮🤭😂

Just remember, you can tell the hospital staff that you don’t want visitors. And if she can’t handle that, they can remove her. AND most hospitals don’t allow visitors within the first hour! So just check with where you are delivering!

@malainaheka23, yes! Makes it so much easier! My mom was actually okay with not seeing us right away, but our nurses made it clear they give us time to ourselves before letting anyone in. And usually no ones feelings get hurt, but I can’t say for your MIL 😂

@littleonemorning, Lol I will bake my nurses a freakin’ cake if they do that for me! 😂😂 I know for sure my MIL will try everything to get in the room. 🙈 She’s relentless. 🤦🏻‍♀️

@malainaheka23 it only gets worse lol my MIL was over everyday after my daughter was born drove me crazy i had to finally say something to my hubby and she calmed down but she still complains to him about not seeing the baby enough

@preciouslove, I’m not really worried about that since my MIL doesn’t remember where we live even though she lives literally 4 blocks away. 😂 And even if she does want to come over I’ll probably make an excuse for her not to show up unannounced. 🤷🏻‍♀️ She can complain about not seeing him all she wants to my fiancé. He’s my baby and I’m not trying to be bothered by her 24/7 while caring for my newborn. 🙃

I feel this way about my MIL. Don't get me wrong, she's sweet, I love her and I'm thankful that she loves my son already. But, she's constantly saying my baby is hers and I don't know... It irks me sometimes. My husband and I will be having our son all to ourselves when he's born though. No one is coming to visit 😅 MIL is in prison and won't be out until a month after my son is born.

Girl after you push that baby out tell the nurse “I don’t want any visitors for a few hours” your husband will be so distracted he won’t care also him seeing you push out that baby I’m sure he will respect your wishes

Only my MIL bought her own pack n’ play, car seat, and stroller for my baby... so of course that’s going to make me think she’ll attempt to take my baby. 😓 My fiancé asked her why she bought all that stuff and she didn’t have anything to say. I already told him that I’m not comfortable with leaving our son with her and he agreed with me so I don’t know what this lady is thinking. 🙈 I’m definitely going to try to convince my SO to tell his family not to come till at least 24 hours after so we can also have our son to ourselves for the first day or so. 🙊

@malainaheka23 oh no 😐 that would make so uncomfortable. If my MIL did that I would definitely think she was trying to take my baby. There are just some women who are that crazy and my mom is one of them 😬 Do what you have to, your MIL and her family should respect that you guys want to have time with your baby boy before anyone visits.

@sensen, Yeah, it really made me cringe. I don’t even like going to her house anymore because she has all that stuff already set up and in your face the second you walk through the door. My fiancé caught her trying to buy a crib the other day and went off on her about how far she’s gone and needs to chill or she’s not going to see our baby ever. She’s insane and I don’t trust her at all. 😓 I know she’s not going to be happy when we tell her not to visit but I honestly don’t think I’ll be letting her hold him either so she can complain all she wants. 🙊🤷🏻‍♀️ I know for sure im going to be one of those cautious/protective mothers when it comes to my baby. 🙈🙃
