Okay, need opinions. I am a ftm so dont be rude. My son is 12 days old and from like 4 days old he has been eating 4oz bottles every threeish hours, because he acts hungry. The past couple nights he has been so colicy and wont sleep at night. Am i over feeding him or?
I am so upset! Went for my 33 week checkup and they told me I have 2 stds! I have not been with anyone other than my sons dad and he says he has been faithful to me I have been crying all morning!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling, so i thank you for letting me share this with you ladies. You have always been nice and supportive. Happy birthday son, your mom loves you.

@sammeeandbaby No lol I had to go and read the post again she was taking 2 to 3 ounces around 4 day's but I still don't feel like you're feeding him too much though

I wouldn't say you're over feeding him if he eats it all! I give mine 2.5 oz every 3 hours, she won't eat anymore. You could try feeding him a little less and see if it helps. Also if you're formula feeding it could be the brand, may need something more gentle.

@tayler we are using Enfamil newborn. Because its the one he's been taking since day 1 at the hospital.

It could be the type of formula he's eating I would bring it up to the doctor but I wouldn't say you're overfeeding him @sammeeandbaby

My baby was on enfamil at the hospital as well but she's now on Similac and does great @sammeeandbaby

@sammeeandbaby u should see what Dr says but most likely she will tell u to try something that's gentle more on his belly. I have to use gentle for all my kids they do jus fine.

@sammeeandbaby jus keep doing what ur doing. Ur doing jus fine. Being a mommy is scary n new n all babies r different. I hope everything is good. Oh u might call her n tell the nurse what's going on n they go tell the Dr n they might have u come in or jus tell u what they think is best.

4 oz is a lot. Make sure to pacefeed. Burp every half ounce. They are clusterfeed the first few weeks. Less milk more often would be better for him

That is because they want to suckle for comfort. Cant be done with a bottle. Give him a pacifier. But also if you pacefed. Make sure to use preemie or 0 nipple he will slow down as well. You dont want it to turn into reflux or anything
