@motherof3boyz702, maybe we can convince the mods to make a autism group, they have been making all kinds of other groups.
@rjxmommy thank you.. I'm trying to figure out how to create a group chat
@motherof3boyz702, I’m alway here if you need to take, I’m still trying to figure a lot of things out but i can try to help! I have also found that some time it just helps to know your not alone.
@rjxmommy I have no one to talk to about his Asd no one in my family or friends have it
@micahxander123 he was prescribed melatonin but I only give it to him if I have to but no regularly
@rjxmommy my son had trouble sleeping sometimes, even if we do a schedule he sometimes is just wide awake for no reason
@motherof3boyz702, my brother has autism and lives with me now so I go to my mom for everything since she has already been through it.
@micahxander123, he’s a really good sleeper as long as he stay on his schedule, every night he’s in bed by 8 and up at 7. If he gets off that schedule that’s when we have a problem.
@motherof3boyz702, for me that’s the worse part, because when he hits I’m always thinking do I put him in time out knowing that’s going to make it worse or do I comfort him and calm him.
@motherof3boyz702, @rjxmommy, do ur babies take medicine bc my son takes melatonin bc he has hard time sleeping
@rjxmommy that's awesome you have support from your mom.
@micahxander123 do you have support?
@rjxmommy I've never tried pressure blankets...
My son doesn't have temper tantrums but sometimes if he doesn't get what he wants he will smack the closest person near him
Yep that’s why we waited so long to get one I couldn’t see spending that kind of money, then my mom started looking up patterns to make them and was able to make one for like 50 I think. It did take her like a week to make it.
My mom made ours, she said it really wasn’t that hard but I know that they sell them on Etsy but they are like 200 to 300 dollars.
I’m still trying to figure that one out myself and he’s been diagnosed for 2 years. What I found that works the best for us is to just hold him and talk to him until he calms a little then I try to figure out why he’s melting down. Some times it works some times I get hit and kick a lot. I also have a weighted blanket that helps I think the pressure of it calms him.
Welcome! My 5 year old has autism it is very stressful and I’m still just taking it a day at a time, but there is a lot of wonderful ladies on here that are willing to answer questions and help!
@micahxander123, it is a rare condition similar to autism but not fully she might have seizures around 2 to 3 years old and her muscles tense up and she hasn’t latched on since she was two months look it up on Google mama’s 🌹
@micahxander123 I had to do my own research as well, very overwhelming
