I Was by my father in law my baby boy was present at the time too now he's no longer allowed to be in my baby's life.

I was molested when I was little by a close family member. I never told anyone and won't ever tell anyone other than on here. It's always affected me. I think of it just like it was yesterday like why did it have to happen to me but it doesn't affect me being a mother. I love my son and love being his mom. I just don't have a close relationship with that person that done it. Never told my mom and I'm 25 and it happened almost 20 years ago

Sometimes I think what if I become the rapist/molester? Could I ever do that? Am I a monster for thinking that?

I'm sorry you were betrayed by the people you trust most. I'm also sorry you never had the opportunity to speak your heart about it and get the help and justice you deserve!

@adamsmum Nobody deserve to feel this way. Have you been in therapy? I never did it and I think that kind of hindered me my progress. I can't believe anybody could touch a very young child. That's the true definition of taking innocence. I'm heart broken hearing these stories but you are all helping me not feel so alone and hopeless. I'm glad there are strong women like all of you to share my thoughts with.

@lovelystasia, haven’t told a soul this is actually the 1st time . I kind of repressed all the memories. It’s sad but made me stronger growing up in a way resilient maybe . And I know what to teach my son and future Children about healthy touch and it not being their fault . I think that what was wrong in our upbringing don’t talk about taboo topics. If you don’t talk about it it won’t happen mentality

To be honest @lovelystasia I've thought the same thing honestly before. But once I got pregnant and had my son it's not once crossed my mind. It's destroyed my views on white men though lol. Like everyone always wonders why I won't date my race and always go for black men, it's because of what happened when I was a kid. I'll probably take this secret to my grave honestly. I think now is too late to say anything and I love the person regardless cause he's family and don't want him to commit suicide or something if I was to come out to my family and don't want any of my family looking at me different so I keep it bottled up. Yall on here are literally the only people that will ever know about this situation and it's sad but I feel it's in the past and that's where it should stay if that makes any sense.

It's sad that some women and men never tell their truths in this life but it's very important not to blame yourself. Teaching our children from young age is exactly what we should do, it instills in their mind at a young age that there are appropriate and unappropriated touching behaviors. That's exactly how some people think and it's totally sad!
