He may also just be stressing about finances, it's very common especially during the pregnancy because they don't feel the baby is here yet. Whereas we can feel them moving and alive inside of us, and for many moms that means they are already here and apart of your life. Men either are the same way, don't change, or just need to meet their babies to wake up.

Yes you definitely need maternity leave. It's so important to take the time off to let your body completely heal. It will definitely not be the same after you have your baby. You will definitely want/need the 6 weeks off to fully heal and your cervix to go back to normal. And plus to spend time with the baby. You should google why 6 weeks of maternity leave is crucial for YOUR body and your baby. It teaches you a lot and your boyfriend doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. 😒
