I got it and don’t regret it! Best decision I made

I got it too, and can't imagine going through labor without one. (I wound up needing a c-section so already having the epidural was handy.) I'd go it again, hands down, and have had no complications.

If you want, try it without one. But if you need it, get it. No one gets a medal for their childbirth, so no point in suffering if the relief is available. There is also IV pain management you can get to lessen the pain if you dont want to jump right to the epidural.

It doesn't hurt that bad getting it, or atleast it didn't for me lol it makes everything so much easier all you feel is pressure! But mine wore off as soon as it was time to push 😂

I got it with both my kids... the first time your already nervous but it wasnt bad at all. The person who does it will talk you threw everything he/she is doing. And you will have your nurse there too 😊

Got it twice, don’t regret anything! I’m also getting it again this time.

I was so against having one and swore I wasn’t going to get one. My labor pains were so unbearable I was punching walls, trying to rip my IVs out and screaming all waiting to be admitted. I had my epidural at 4:30 and my daughter was born at 7:40 it was the most pleasant 3 hours of my life and I had such a easy delivery. I don’t regret it one bit.

I wanted to deliver with absolutely nothing! The first contraction hit and I was like hell no😂 I got mine and loved it. I didn’t feel any pain at all!

PROS- it was a smooth delivery

CONS- (not 100%sure it’s from the epi) but my back still gets sore too this day and hurts to sit/lay on floor. I never had that problem before I got it..

I got one and didn’t regret it. I got immediate pain relief and compared to the contractions you don’t even feel a thing getting the epidural

With my son it worked. With my daughter it stopped working and my leg was numb for weeks. Had to do physical therapy to get back to normal

I had a great experience with mine. And it helped move my daughter down further. Also one of my legs was more numb than the other for hours.. but I didn't care. I could still go to the bathroom and stuff after. And move started to wear off so I had a redose. Then for pushing it wore off enough that I could tell when to push.

When they told me they were on their way to do the epidural I told my nurse I was scared of the needle because everyone says it's huge.. she showed me how small the needle actually was and is small. People hype the epidural up for no reason. The worst part is getting a contraction in the middle of getting it. But if you decide to get it.. it's really not bad getting it in.
