TMI but I’m 17 days pp and I poop maybe once every two days, sometimes more, but it hurts so bad, any moms know anything to soothe the pain? (I got stitches and hemorrhoids)

@randie.raye, I’m not sure but call your doctor they would know. I didn’t breastfeed but the hospital did give me some while I was there and trying to breast feed so they are safe

Def stool softener I didn’t go for like days after. Partly out of fear my body wouldn’t and bc stool softener was necessary

Get some witch hazel and put it on a pad and let it sit against your skin

Have you tried not pushing when you go? Just kind of letting it come out? If you can't do that you can ask your doctor for stool softeners if you haven't already. That's what I have to do. I basically clench my vagina to avoid it hurting my stitches and then just let it come out.
