Just make sure the surface is comfortable, but flat, and you can prop his back a little to the side so he has some support. Your doc should be asking and encouraging you to give him tummy time soon too....as long as it's supervised of course. But that gives them the practice to lift their head up more and more and build those back, tummy, and neck muscles.💖

Its perfectly fine hun. Its not natural for them to sleep on their backs and they don't feel as secure. At 2 weeks as long as she was supervised, I had her on her tummy and she slept so much better. My doc even encouraged it. At that age on the side won't do any harm cuz they shouldn't be capable of rolling over completely just yet. Some do but not all.
