I always put my daughter on her side. She never liked being on her back. It prevented her from having a flat head too

In the NICU they would rotate between her stomach with her head turned to the side and on her back... so when we came home, if she was napping on the couch next to me... I would usually put her on her stomach... and at bed time I always but her on her back!

She always jerked herself awake on her back so it was stomach for us most of the time... now she will sleep both ways.
