Hey moms, so my son was in the NICU for about a week and they had him on a schedule of eating every 3hrs etc but I always have to wake him to eat and he's like super fussing and never really go to sleep after.
So do you all think I should just let him wake himself up when he's hungry? Or should I continue to wake him every 3hrs?
@jasiahsmom, omg yes,I thought I was going to lose my mind. He kept me up from 1 am till 7 in the morning, thank god my husband took him in the morning and I got some sleep in
@carolinepinheiro, yeah I'm in the same boat with the him not falling back to sleep or he'll doze off and I lay him down and he's right back up
@mommiesaremagical14, I like the way you think! But yeah he was in the NICU but he wasn't premature or anything. So I'm definitely just gonna try the method of letting him let me know when he's hungry from here on out because it seems like he would sleep most of the night if I didn't disturb him.
I’m breastfeeding and I was waking him up to feed him but he’ll never fall back asleep. I’m trying the method of him letting me know when he’s hungry.
@jasiahsmom Yeah, he's not going to starve when he's hungry he'll let you know. If you feel like you want to let him tell you when he's hungry and let him sleep then you can go ahead and do that. Different people are going to tell you different things but ultimately as his mother it's your decision.
@mommiesaremagical14, yeah because my MIL say I should let him wake himself never wake them cs it only makes them cranky. Which I seem to be true because at night when I wake him when he's sleeping so good he keeps me up basically the rest of the night lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@carolinepinheiro, yeah like I woke him to feed at 2am then he just says up til his next feeding at 5am I'm like okay kid maybe I shouldn't bother him
