I get that everybody has their own ways to be a parent, but the one thing that shouldn't even be a choice is whether or not you vaccinate your child. Sure, vaccinations tend to have more than what you really need in them and it's a science that's still being perfected even today, but it's better than letting your kid die from some avoidable illness. 🤷🏼♀️ sorry, but I don't need my kid who is too young to have all his vaccinations around your kid who could give him said illnesses he doesn't have vaccinations for and kill MY kid as a result of YOUR ignorance.

I couldn't agree more with this, I got vaccines and I'm alright and I don't want my child around kids who haven't been because I don't want her catching a illness that could have been avoided

The town I moved to won't allow children who are not vaccinated into public school I used to work for an ambulance as a medic and I swear I don't understand why people don't vaccinate seeing people who have polo is like the worst way to go of even kids with mumps like gesss all that pain you subjected to your child.
Riana·
So individuals who aren't vaccinated carry random diseases around? I'm just trying to understand the logic behind the last statement. Furthermore, even if you are vaccinated you can still contract said diseases but you probably won't in the United States anymore. It's more of a third world country issue at this point.
Riana·
@lovelyjane, every state has exemptions. I believe only California and Mississippi have medical. So yes, they can still go to school. They just need a religious, medical or philosophical exemption 👍🏼
Mrs. G·
@halsey11, the only exemptions for the township I live in where for photographs. I had a stack of paper for registration that said if your child is not vaccinated they can not attend the school and you will have to find other means do to safety concerns
Riana·
This should help, my kids school said that too. But they all have exemptions and go. Without an exemption you can't go. It really is illegal for them to make that statement though, seeing as the federal government controls that aspect not the state.
Buddhist Mama·
@halsey11 no you can NOT go to school here in California if you aren't vaccinated.
Riana·
Yes @ilovemychildren, that's what I said in my above comments :) only if you have a medical exemption.

I don't usually do this but y'all make not one lick of sense here...if your kid is vaccinated how are they going to catch something from a kid that isn't? it would literally be the other way around...And how is a kid that isn't vaccinated automatically contagious with something? Vaccines are literally putting the sickness INTO your body and Hoping you don't get sick from it. How many people do you see running around with the flu AFTER getting a shot??? People even die from it so your logic is trash. Anybody can believe what they want but educate yourself a little before telling others what they should and shouldn't do for their kids.

@xchas, I literally specified that my kid is too young to have all his vaccinations so if some kid is carrying something around my kid that he hasn't been vaccinated for yet, then he could get it and it could end terribly? So get out of here with that "your logic is trash" nonsense. If you actually read the post, you wouldn't be questioning what I said. Bye. 👋🏼

@halsey11, I never said children who aren't vaccinations just carry diseases around or anything of that sort but it's better safe than sorry and I'm not really wanting my kid to be around that. 🤷🏼♀️

You can't say it shouldn't be a choice though. There are billions of things your child can catch and a vaccine is not some magical thing that says your child will never get sick from whatever. Your risking giving that disease to your child by injecting it into them in the first place. I agree your chances may be less in some cases but to mandate that someone absolutely HAS to is crazy. It's happening wether some of us like it or not as people are saying with schools mandating it but the lack of education on vaccines just absolutely blows my mind.

@m0thmama how would you even know? Are you going to ask every parent your child is in contact with if they have had shots?
Buddhist Mama·
@xchas what people like you don't understand is children get vaccinations at DIFFERENT TIMES IN THEIR LIVES. an older child who has an illness because he or she wasn't vaccinated can give it to a younger child who has yet to be vaccinated because they aren't old enough yet! Jesus use your brain!!
Buddhist Mama·
@xchas vaccines are the reason why mumps and measles aren't still killing thousands of people a year. People who choose not to vaccinate are the reason why diseases like those are coming back mutated and stronger!!!

@ilovemychildren I understand that fully. If more people in the world actually used their brains it wouldn't be the way it is today. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and not a single one of those are right or wrong. Topics like these are giant invitations for discussion yet everyone always gets so outraged if someone doesn't follow them. There are billions of people in the world that should be able to control what they do with their OWN bodies is my opionion and that's that. If everybody wasn't so damn worried all the time about open ended topics that they can NOT change and put some effort into things they could change the world would be a nicer place. On that I've note wasted enough time on the same subject that I also can not change so I'm saying good day to you all 🙃
