I would like to give any of y'all who might be dealing with postpartum depression (or any type, really) a helpful tip! Whether you don't have time, you don't have money, or you simply don't feel comfortable with getting therapy for it, there is a simple and all natural solution: cashews!
Cashews are rich in vitamins, minerals, soluble dietary fiber, and numerous phytochemicals which prevent severe diseases including cancers. They are also filled with palmitoleic and oleic acids, which are great for the heart's health.
They also include potassium, magnesium, copper, zinc, selenium, and iron. Just 3.5 oz (100 grams) of cashews will provide about 30% of the daily recommended levels of B6. They are also the best alternative treatment for depression.
Two handfuls of cashews are the therapeutic equivalent of a prescription dose of Prozac.
