Friend A isn't feeling well.
I see friend B tell A to grab some emergenC at the store. *picture a record screeching to a halt and time standing still*
🤦🏻♀️I have failed in this wellness journey for my two friends at that very moment. See, EmergenC is one of those products you *think* is good for you. Leave those $12 boxes of garbage on the shelf, and I'm going to tell you why.
👉Emergen-c contains "natural flavors", which, unless you know the company you're buying from, is pretty much the way to sneak MSG into a product without labeling it. Yes, MOST of the time "natural flavors" includes MSG (not where I shop, but I digress..). It also contains maltodextrin. Again, unless you know the company, this is GMO and in the same category as high fructose corn syrup.
The last ingredient I'll touch on is aspartic acid. This is an amino acid present in food we eat, and safe when eaten naturally in foods where there are other amino acids present. But if taken alone, it's a neurotoxin. It's also 40% of aspartame's makeup and we know how I feel about aspartame.
☠️(Lord help me, if you dismiss everything I say but one thing, let it be aspartame. AVOID.)☠️ ( its poop ya'll)
There are several immune boosters out there that are much better for you... colloidal silver and elderberry are a just couple. On top of those, my favorite wellness store has a similar but MUCH safer immune boosting drink.
It contains:
Vitamin C- 🍊hello, Captain Obvious.🍊
Zinc— a mineral crucial to white blood cell development.
Vitamin E- a super antioxidant that increases antibody formation.
Astragalus—one of the most extensively researched ancient Chinese herbs that helps strengthen and stimulate the immune system.
Black chokeberry —antioxidant that helps regulate immune function of white blood cells.
Safer, less expensive, and more effective. It seems to be a theme where I shop.🤔
The health issues aside, that stuff tastes like shit. 😂 They had it on super sale while I was buying cold medicine once and I thought "why not, save some money." Turns out I wasted what I spent even at a discount because that was the worst thing I had tasted in a long time. 😩
@mommy.to.sterling, you're right it's suppose to be a flavor enhancer. Lol.
