@sherilynne23 hmm, i would definitely call the hospital where you went and let them know. See what they say. Seeing as they checked you for preterm labor and the babies heart rate, and the fact that you didnt start bleeding until an hour ago, if i were you i would definitely call, or go back.

@jordanmartin1732 they discharged me at 4pm. So I've been home for 6 hours now. I wasn't spotting/bleeding at all until about an hour ago.

How long has it been since you has your check up?

@sherilynne23 definitely call. Could be placenta previa causing you to bleed if it's a lot! Also could be normal just from them checking. Id just call to make sure.

@sherilynne23 oh wow she couldn't reach your cervix and she could have scratch you or something but if it's more than you like call labor and delivery and see what the nurse say

@jburgos2596 I've got a liner on now. So far I've only seen the blood when I actually go use the bathroom. It's not filling the liner.

@asunaking15 no I wasn't dilated at all. She couldn't even reach my cervix.

They told me if you fill a pad full of blood then you should go in (with cramps) but if its just like oh i need a panty liner then you should be ok

@sherilynne23 did they say if you dilated when they checked you and spotting afterwards is normal but trust you will know what is too much

@jordanmartin1732 it's not pooling in my undies but when I used the bathroom there was definitely bright red blood in the toilet and when I cleaned myself.

@asunaking15 they sent me to the hospital for monitoring because my baby's heart rate had spiked really high I was also contracting. They checked me to see if I was in preterm labor. They said spotting after is normal but there was more blood than I am comfortable with. I don't know if this is just because of them checking me or not.

I'd maybe call just to reassure yourself.

@arivera64 it didn't reach my underwear but after I used the bathroom there was definitely blood in the toilet and bright red blood on the tp when I cleaned myself. With one tiny little dark red like clot.

Usually spotting is just a little when you wipe, but pooling blood in your undies isnt good, say like enough for a pad to be worn. It should subside after a while, but if not contact your doctor.

Spotting is generally not enough to reach the underwear. It will be when you wipe. If it does reach the underwear it shouldn't be more than a drop or two. Anymore is considered bleeding
