Little Olivia got to wear her first outfit today.
She's doing well. She never had to be on a respirator, she was on fluids; is now off and being fed through a feeding tube. (She's too young still to suckle) She also had be under light therapy for jaundice (never got it, it was in case)
It's been 4 days since she burst her way into this world 7 weeks early. Every day she progresses, she's been getting lots of visitors from her family (aunts and uncles, but they can't hold her yet, just us and grandparents)
The NICU nurses and doctors have been such a wonderful help. I also hear that she's pretty popular at the moment because of how she burst into the world!
I was also told how the nurses in the rest of the hospital still talk about me even! (I showed them that I'm a real life mermaid with a tail and actually had an event this weekend - obviously not going now! 😅 One nurse said, wait, aren't you the mermaid?!) It's been an interesting ride so far to say the least.
My milk came in with a force. Also another thing the nurses and consultants compliment me for. (As 33 weeks is very early for milk)
All these compliments are wonderful, but having our baby Olivia at home would be better. We have to remind ourselves that her being in the NICU is the best thing for her and will eventually only be a blip in time.
Sorry if this seems braggy, but it helps me to share this with others, especially others dealing with their babies in the NICU. And hopefully helps others as well. (Were all gonna get extra mushy and braggy about our own kids!)

Thank you so much! We're excited and also impatient!🤣 It's probably my worst virtue! If it weren't for my husband I probably would've tried to take her home already! 😂
