Anybody else's dog become more protective of them after getting pregnant?

My friends cat knew I was pregnant before I did, she'd only lay on my belly and her paws would be out as though she was hugging, she'd also would meow at me if she couldn't get to my stomach.

Ugh I got this dog while I'm pregnant and hoped that she wouldn't know since the pregnancy scent was already there. The dog won't leave me alone she sleeps by my head curls around my belly and it's annoying.

@js_kidsmom lol yeah I have two dogs as well, a boy and girl and my boy dog couldn't be more oblivious to everything and my girl dog is so old that she just doesn't care anymore 😂 gotta love animals.

@langwell615 thats why. The boys are smarter than the girls for cats and then boy dogs are more slower than the female dogs. Lol

My cat is more protective of me than my dogs, my husband and I were playing around and he was laying over me and went to kiss me and my cat came out of no where and slapped him and sat on my chest until my husband left and then made sure I was ok. My cat also follows me around the house where ever I go he has to go, and recently he has started carrying around a roll of toilet paper and any time I make a noise like I groan or something from being stiff and hurting my cat will run over with his toilet paper and offer it to me.

My cat has. My husband and I were having a pillow fight and I was pretending to cry she ran from upstairs and stood on me while I laid there.
