This was me 2 weeks after having my second son - So excited to start doing some yoga next week cuz it's been way too long since I've worked out! (Stopped working out daily around 35 weeks pregnant)
Anyone else have post pregnancy workout plans or remember what you did to get your body back?!
@beebaby, totally understand! Whatever works best for you is best! When my kids are older, I'll go to the gym too :) It's fun to use the different equipment and the focus has to be great just due to the fitness atmosphere.
I've been looking into yoga. I can do walks and do normal things still. It just hurts my belly to be touched or my back and hips hurt. Walking actually makes me feel better.
I've had hip pain since i was pregnant. I had an almost 8 and a half pound baby and i'm only 5ft plus i was out of shape.
@shellymakuk93, wow I'm so sorry to hear that! You definitely want to listen to your body and take things easy. Ease into a routine. Do you notice any pain after your walks? I would say that yoga might be a good place to start for you too.
@beebaby, Oh how neat!! I'm so glad you always got that time...my boyfriend works crazy hours and so I never know if I'll even see him that day. I love your drive to workout though! Not too many people are that dedicated. It's a great quality :) I gained 65 this time around too and have only lost 20 of that so far with nursing. I didn't get my period until a year after my first and so I don't expect to get it too soon with my second now. I'm nursing my 2 year old and my newborn so I know it should help with my bleeding but I tore quite a bit this time... :/ I so agree though! You have to make time for you or you'll lose your mind! I find the time to workout at home and love how it makes me feel. I won't let not leaving the house stop me from getting my sweat on! That's for sure :)
@energizederica21 i actually had a forcep delivery so its taking a long time to heal. My bladdet needs to heal. Everything else is okay. My tummy is still tender if pressed on even a little.
@beebaby, I stopped bleeding for a few days and just started up again pretty heavy yesterday so I'm thinking yoga is about all I want to test my body with at this point... I HATE bleeding. It sucks. But dang girl that is such a long day! I'm a stay at home mom and don't even wanna leave my kids to go to the gym...so that's why I workout at home but I also don't lift heavy. Would like to! But we've got a bench with 10s and 25s in our garage if I wanted to get to that point. Super awesome that you dedicate time to workout though! Have you always been into heavy lifting?? :)
@beebaby, did you wait until you had stopped bleeding completely or were you still bleeding when you started? And you work out for 2 full hours? You have that time to go to the gym or do you do anything from home?
@shellymakuk93, I feel you on that weight loss goal! I gained more my second time being pregnant than my first time
@shellymakuk93, It's been so nice outside that really helps! But those rainy days kinda suck if you're limited to outside.. but with you being 5 months post pregnancy, I feel like you could definitely be working on your fitness :) You healed okay from delivery and everything?
@beebaby, What routine were you doing? And are you going to wait the whole 6 weeks postpartum or no?
@shellymakuk93, I feel you there!! I'm only 5ft too! And my second boy was 8.1 but that hip pain does not sound fun! Must have been a positioning thing. I'm glad walking helps! It might be a slow healing process but I bet you'll get to feeling better in time! Definitely don't overdo it
