The doctor gave me a few samples of diclegis and also a prescription. I started taking it last night and I was able to eat today. I've never been happier. I've been so hungry. You just never realize what you take for granted. However, when I went to pick up my prescription I found out my insurance won't pay for it!! Lawd...what is up with that?! Has anybody else experienced this? Any coupons or codes to get it cheaper?

Np :) I would just ask your doctor to prescribe you the generic/otc version of diclegis and they'll get you a dose that works. Good luck, mama ❤️

Thanks @katiibby

@athomas the pharmacist sent a message to the doctor telling them the insurance company needed more information. Hopefully they'll call without me having to nag them!

When I was taking diclegis I only took two tablets at night, it made me sleepy and two was enough. Although I know some people need to take one tablet during the day, too. I think if you had to take day doses w this, you would only take half of a doxylamine tablet during the day instead of a whole one like at night? But Im not entirely sure :x
Bren·
@katiibby so you can only take that during the night?

This is the doxylamine, I take one of these and half of a b6 (so 25mg) every night before bed. It helps me sleep and I haven't had issues w nausea since I started taking it :)

Try goodrx. Also talk to your dr and see if they will contact your insurance to get them to approve it. @tysmom1017

I had the exact same problem! Diclegis is the only med that worked for me and then my insurance wouldn't cover it! Luckily, the two ingredients in it are pretty common.. vitamin b6 and doxylamine . So my doctor prescribed me 50mg vitam b6 & 25mg unisom (an OTC sleep aid) and it works great! Just like the diclegis and only like $8 :)
