Is it okay for a newborn to sleep in a crib? We weren't planning on getting a bassinet just because the baby's room has the guest room right across it. So we were just planning on sleeping in there for a while.
Who co sleeps with the baby? Planning on doing so we have limited space at home & just planning on getting a co sleep bassinet. Tell me your experiences :) how's it going?
I need a bigger house we have 5 adults and 1 child in our house and it's a 2 bedroom trailer. Karen has her room then me and hubby have our room then our 2 roommate sleep in the living room 😭 too many people in our house!
Putting baby in room?!? When did you (or do you plan) to put baby in his/her room after sleeping in a bassinet in your room? DD is almost 4 months old but I still don't feel comfortable putting her in there yet! :-/
Curious to hear some answers on when you were able to put your babies in their cribs and they would just fall asleep on their own. I'm hearing a lot of 6 months old. I know every baby is different but still curious to hear other mom's answers 😁. ( my son is 5 months and currently we are still doing our bath then bottle routine in a dark room to get him to sleep. He will not just go to sleep if we don't do this).
shut the door? does anyone shut their child's door while they sleep? (if they sleep in their own room)

@jacesterlingsmommy, well I read somewhere that it's best not to because babies like to be in small spaces like a bassinet rather than a crib. @mami1234, why wouldn't you? Just curious as to why

It's just a personal preference. I tried having my son next to me and I couldn't sleep with all his little noises. I had a monitor and could hear him just fine. His room was next to mine. I wasn't worried about anything honestly. He was and is fine. Swaddling helped my son be able to sleep though, so it didn't matter bassinet or not.

@alimtz0510 because I feel like it's easier to check on them when they are next to you. I didn't get my son a crib untill he was one I had him bassinet first then pack n play then crib

No problem. I had a bassinet too but he was only in it for a month. After a couple weeks he slept in his bassinet in his room. It is handy for night feedings to have the bassinet, almost too handy and I wouldn't full awake and I'd accidentally mess up bottles. But I wouldn't change the way I did things. I now have an independent son whom loves his crib and has slept 12+ hours since 3 months old.

My daughter slept in a pack n play when she first got home. What I did was rolled two small blankets up and placed it under the sheet. I would then lay my daughter in between the rolled blankets. I had it snug so she couldn't roll and felt secure. Her pedi showed it to me.
