Baby sleeping in their room? How many of yalls babies are sleeping in their own room already? This is my baby's 3rd night alone in her room. She does GREAT! Sleeps better and longer in her crib. I wasn't planning on letting her sleep alone yet but my husband put her to sleep one night and put her in her room. We were both thinking she'll wake up soon and then I'll just put her in the bassinet in our room. Well, she never woke up until 7:30am ?. I was shocked! She would usually wake up twice at night to eat and then fall asleep in my bed. But in her crib, she slept all night. I'm actually very sad about this. I miss her ?I'm having a hard time having her in her bedroom. How are you ladies coping with your baby in another room?

since I breastfed she started off in her crop in our room than I moved her crib to her room after few months ...the important thing is she slept in her crib not in our bed naps were sometimes in our bed but most in crib or play pin and nights in crib

4 weeks in bassinet then off to crib.
crib was in our room until 4 months old when she was a bit older and more mobile she was old enough to sit up and cry for us i felt it was safer.
im due for a ds and he will be in our room for a while as well.
naps in his own room but night time in our room for at least 8 weeks plus easier since im bfing.

With my first he was in his own room at a week...our house was so small I could hear him breathe without a monitor. Now that we are in a new house that is much bigger, I plan on keeping him in our room for about a month...that's the plan anyways.

with my 1st she was almost 6 months... just do it whenever u feel comfortable with it...

I had my daughter in the basinet till about 6 months because I breast fed and it was just easier to have her right there. I plan to do the same with this one.

He will start out in a bassinet next to the bed most likely then we will be moving him to the crib which will also be in our room after a couple months.

Last was about a week. This one going straight to crib!

It was 6 months with ds. you'll know when your ready. don't rush it.

We did at 10 weeks . Was sleepigthrough the night 12 hrs when he was in his own room, it was bliss.

My dd was in a bassinet in my room until 4mo, then into her crib in her own room. It worked very well for us &i plan on doing the same with this one.
My dd loves her own bed and has a hard time sleeping anywhere else. She loves to snuggle at night with a book but when its time to sleep she wants to be on her bed.

I plan on co sleeping, reduces the risk of SIDS so why not
deleted-user·
As soon as we're home baby will be in its own room.

I put DD in her crib once she started sleeping longer stretches, like 5 or 6 hours. I'm pretty sure we packed away the bassinet around 2 or 3 weeks

We co-sleep, so not for awhile. My youngest moved to his room around 18 months.

Sooner rather than later i would think. Straight in the cot for this bub. We've never had a baby in the room with us. It's alot easier in the long term if they get used 2 sleeping alone - and also for the parents 2 not get woken up by every little noise/movement.

5 weeks max for us, and that's only if I need ceasarian again. We is a baby lamb that fits on side of bub so she won't roll or come into danger.

Thanks ladies!! She was so tiny when she was born, I barely slept at first! Not because she was awake all the time, but because I was just so afraid because she was so small!
I ebf her but she already sleeps through the night so that's not an issue. I guess I am just not comfortable with her being away from me. I like waking up during the night and checking on her... :-/ I guess I'm not ready to move her!

Straight to his crib. I don't want to have to get him used to it later

my mom told me you just know when it's time to move them. I know it's not a black and white answer, but eventually baby will be too big for the bassinet anyway.

we moved dd into her own room once she was sleeping through the night. she slept in her crib for naps though. its just so much easier on me to bf at night if I dont have to get out of bed. I plan to do the same with my son when he is born.

My baby is 10 months and sleeps in the same room. Im just scared to sleep in seperate rooms with my babyboy & in the middle of the night his daddy wakes up to lay him with mommy and daddy. I think 2 years old he can sleep in his room with his baby sister that will be 1. (:

I did with mine when they started sleeping thru the night.

I plan to put baby in crib right away .. That way he/she gets used to the surroundings of their own room :)

With my first we moved her when she was 16 months. Sort of had no choice since we didn't have furniture for her room.(inlaws promised it to us but never got it and we never had money), this next one I think I will wait till she is at least 1 yr, since they will be sharing a room gotta wait until she starts sleeping through the night or at least until she only wakes 1x.

Ill do naps in crib and night time in a bassinet for night just to help with feedings.... when I had my daughter it was straight in crib but she was in my room so it worked.... this baby kids room is upstairs and mine is down stairs.... it will take awhile to see what works best....

I'm thinking 4 months, maybe 5 :-)

When I'm done breast feeding
