So my Bf decides to try to be romantic I guess by telling me he bought me a gift , I get excited but then he reveals it's a video game and he knows I really really really really don't care for video games, he's a gamer but he knows I think they're a waste of valuable time that could be spent on something more productive . I'm more of a book person, a jewlery person, a nice little outfit a nice evening at my favorite place and he gets a video game . I mean I appreciate the gesture and he is wants me to go to his house to see the game and I will but it's obvious after 3 years of dating he never paid full attention to what I love personally , and that honestly just breaks my heart .now I'm going to have to pretend to like it for his sake....

That's actually really sad after 3 years he doesn't know what you like. That's an argument I'd be willing to have. I know how you feel though. I still sometimes get those stupid ass "love coupons". I wouldn't pretend to like it at all. Who cares if it hurts his feelings. I'd tell him to return it.

Don't pretend to like it. Maybe put up with it and let him show it off because he's obviously excited, but also try and make him aware of how cool it might be to go to a book store or maybe food you've been craving. Sometimes guys can be dumb and oblivious and need things spelled out for them lol but I'd recommend not dismissing his excitement either.

@kailey @jademarie_x0 you guys are absolutely right , he did the same thing last Valentine's day and said he didn't know what else to get me . I'm going to have to let him know . I always spare his feelings and push aside mine .
