Today is not my day. Woke up to a for rent sign on our home and our landlord saying we have 1 week to find another house. No idea why this is happening but I have absolutely no freaking idea what to do. It is so hard to find places around me 😔

Take him to court. Watch the judge give you three months to look for a place just for him being an asshole lol
I went through the same crap with mine. He's also trying to hold my mail until I give him the rest of the rent that I don't even owe because I wasn't there after the first! which is illegal as well. @kmarie1303,
Agree with @mamatocam8516xo he HAS to by law ((I live in new York too)) give u 30 days. Check it out online &comeback at ur landlord knowing the correct laws he has to follow that will save u some time & put him in his place of trying to be an a**
He has to give you at least 30 days that's ridiculous
He can't do that by law he has to give you proper notice
