Okay so everyone is freaking me out. Ivy will be 9 months tomorrow and only weighs 17lbs. My SO's…

My son was born at 8lbs. Hes 1 now and barely weighs 26lbs. Dr said it's normal weight. I think shes fine. Babies grow differently. I wouldn't start her on formula if breastfeeding is going good.

Well my son is 5 months and weighs 17lbs ....She may be small for her size but thats something you would discuss with your doctor....How does she act after feedings? Do you feel she's getting enough? I started supplementing with my son last month because I didnt think I was producing enough for him [which happens when you get pregnant so soon] but many mothers choose not to supplement and have perfectly healthy kids that vary in weight.

If she seems satisfied after breastfeeding and is having enough wet diapers I wouldn't worry. Our pediatrician has always told me that weight isn't really a good factor for determining how much they eat (within reason), but the amount of dirty diapers will tell you if they are getting enough!

Honestly all babies are different! My daughter was chunky when she was younger and the older she's gotten she's thinned out. The more active they are the slimmer they get, obviously. Talk to her dr but I'm sure her dr will say she's doing fine.

See when she was six months she barely weighed 15lbs and the doctor said it was okay and I make plenty of milk. When I do pump I can pump almost 10oz total. She eats about every 4 hours on the boob and then gets one to two pouches of food.

True she's crawling and almost walking so she's always moving
