So I just found out my mom is pregnant at 40. Like what the actual fuck is she doing. While I want to applaud her for wanting to go through with it and put it up for adoption, I told her she needs to have an abortion because she's looking at foreclosure and any mistake would make her lose her house. Plus my sister now is super embarrassed and can't handle all this stress because my mom had a problem where she would pass out all the time while she was pregnant with both of us. My sister doesn't want to take care of her and my mom is already talking about my sister helping out. My sister is graduating high school in may and is going to grand valley for college. I can't handle all this stupidity.
I get that your upset but man.... I bet your mom is pretty scared too. Have you even asked how she's feeling? I think it's wonderful that she's giving a baby to someone who probably can't have one. Maybe try being there for her? I'm sure, being your mom, she's been there for you a time or two in your life
I'm more shocked that your mom is only 40. Lol.
In all seriousness, as strongly as you feel towards her options, they are hers to make (even if you're being the adult and you have an idea of what the best option would be for her and her circumstances). Hopefully she will consider all options and figure out what's best for her already established family and current financial/life situation.
It's your moms life and she can do as she pleases. She's a grown woman. You and your sister should put yourselves in her shoes. It's sad that you prefer your mother to have an abortion rather than putting the baby up for adoption. Give the baby a chance. If your mom has any type of health problems, let the doctors deal with it.
Adoption is always nice until she's passing out and there's no one to take care of her. Idk it's her life and she can do whatever she wants, but if she thinks my sister is not going to go away to college or I'm going to take days off of work to come take care of her, she's very wrong. I have my own bills to pay and shit to work for.
Definitely adoption if she doesn't want the baby.
It's kind of selfish to not want your kid to go college bc you need help.. Should have been more careful specially since she didn't want the baby to begin. I understand why you would feel this way.
Her health isn't the problem. The fact that she is about to lose her house and wants my sister to not go to college in case she needs help is the problem. She doesn't want the baby. So what's the point of even being pregnant?
I agree with @raquely, and theres already nothing but negativity on here . The fact ur mom is pregnant and bringing a baby into this world u should be supportive u know what it's like to be pregnant and what blessing babies are, your mom is grown her having sex is normal .. yes she should of took precaution but she chose not to .. all u can do it support and let her make her own decision, give ur opinion when asked, no need for u to stress and have it take toll on u, ur sister also needs to be strong u both need to come together and give ur mom support regardless of the situation or outcome . Remember things happen for a reason . Keep ur head up ur family will be fine ❤
40 isn't old, someone special to me is 38 and about to give birth any day now. i do understand though if she has health problems and that could be a concern. i wish your family the best, i know that's got to be stressful.
Well she can have even more issues because of her age. It can affect her and the unborn
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
I'm so upset my husband just informed me, that my 16 yr. Old daughter told him while I was gone that I was a bad Mom with too many kids, that I was dumb because I dropped out of school, that she wanted to part in meeting her new sister in December. I'm so broken and don't know what to do!
If you think it's ok for your children to suffer because of your poor choices then you are a bad parent and I don't care about your feelings. I've given her over $1000 in these two months alone so she could catch up on bill and keep her house because she rather go to Christian concerts and eat out every night. I have my own rent to pay and child to take care of. She went through mine and my sisters college funds to remodel the kitchen and pay for her second divorce. So no I don't care about her feelings. If she thinks for one second that my sister should pause her life and stay home from college to take care of our mother and a baby that is literally going to ruin our family, she has another thing coming. It's not right, and it's not fair. My sister has done everything right in her life and has over 80k in scholarships. So my mom is going to be completely alone during this pregnancy and she's going to try and drain everyone else
