I've heard you "CAN'T" throw your own baby shower. someone has to do it for you. I feel selfish for even kinda wanting one.. but I'm so mad at myself because I'm not working. I want to.. I live with my brother, sister, her best friend, (mom moved to NM with her boyfriend. she was suppose to go last year.) & my toddler.. I moved back here because I was evicted a couple days before Christmas & had no money for anything.. so I'm starting over. I left my kids dad after that because I was tired of the back and forth and being depressed in the relationship. it won't change. anyway, I feel so selfish even thinking about it. I can't work because I don't have transportation, baby sitter, money for either.. Plus now I have appointments every two weeks as well as the fact I can hardly walk now because my pelvis feels so crushed (28w6d.) this didn't happen this early with my daughter. no pain until my last month or two & no pain this bad.. I can't even afford a baby shower either. this whole feeling sucks- not being a good enough mom.💔

I'm throwing my own lol. My husband and I are hosting a BBQ. That being said it's a little stressful but my friends are helping me. I didn't want the financial pressure to be put on anyone!

@emmysmommy I was thinking of doing the same, but I don't have any way to do it.. it'd be a bbq without a bbq type of thing.. I'm just so disappointed in myself because I want to do these things myself. you know? I feel so bad basically saying "Hey, buy stuff for my kid because I let my life fall apart and now I can't financially support them when I'm the SOLE person doing so. ETC.."

I ended up throwing my own! I feel like it's more common now that mom's throw their own. Which is why I did because I wanted mine a specific way. Don't feel selfish, and from the sounds of it you really do need it financially for your babe.

thank you everyone..💞 I'll think about it. also really thinking about it because next month or in April I'm moving with my best friend to Cali where she will help me get on my feet as well as be there for my kids.. so I kinda wanna have a farewell with all those who are truly close to me. you know?
