So I wake up this morning on my payday ready to take care of a couple of bills before work. Phone bill, my card declined. Micahs daycare, again, my card declined. My direct deposit was well over $1,000 and I saw it post to my account at midnight. I call the bank on my way to work about 7:20 this morning and they tell me that the bank has put a credits only hold on my account. I found it interesting and asked why. They said there was an old account I had that had the write off balance due in the amount of $998. So they say I have to go into a branch and take care of it. They advise me to talk to the bank manager. Who actually used to be my boss when I worked for this bank. At the end of the day I find out that collections will take the money from me and that I actually can't do anything about it. I can't pay Micahs daycare or my phone bill, my car taxes or anything. As a mother you pray to never get to this point because now what am I going to do. I'm depressed and I don't want to go to work tomorrow or any day at that. I work so hard and this is what I get in return, for a bank that I've been with for years to do this to me. I turned on my gospel music and I prayed. And prayed. And prayed. That's the only thing I can do.
What bank is this? I hate banks. Evil entities that steal from people who don't have money.
This is why I get checks. I cash them out and put what I want in my bank account. No cards declining, no money snatching from my account, no hassle. It's my money and I'll be damned if it's gone before I'm responsible with it. I'm sorry you're going through that. Maybe ask to do checks and do what I'm doing. So this doesn't happen again. And I'm sure the daycare will understand the situation and work with you too 😘
That happened to me a few months ago when I went to pay off some hospital bills. I don't understand why they can't give you a heads up and do some kind of payment plan instead of taking it all at once and messing with other bills. I'm so sorry and I hope those other places can work with you.
Praying for you momma. Don't get too discouraged. Been in your situation. Just call and let the companies know what's going on and maybe they can give you an extension or something.
