I want some opinions. Just read up on SIDS and what could be possible causes, one of them being letting your baby sleep in your bed. Hanna has her own bassinet that she sleeps in the entire night, but after her first morning feeding I either put her in a bassinet that sits in my bed or just put her right into the bed with me so I can get a little extra sleep and she usually goes back to sleep too .... Do you guys believe that babies sleeping in the same bed could be a cause? Does it seem unsafe to have her in bed with me?!

@xalyssasays Honestly, don't stress over it. The other day I had a doctor get on my ass for co-sleeping but it's what my daughter and I are happy with. Long as you and baby is happy and safe don't stress. Do what you feel is best for you.

@ravens_mommy, yes I've been doing this basically since she was born. She sleeps the through the night in her bassinet and falls asleep most of the time with her paci then in the mornings since her first feeding is between 5-7am I usually put her in bed with me to sleep a couple more hours

My daughter sleeps in my arms every night. When she was younger she sometimes stopped breathing and I would immediately wake up and touch her face or whatever to remind her to breathe. If we didn't co-sleep I would have never known she would stop breathing. Also, my little sister was born addicted to drugs (not biological sister) and the doctor advised my mom to co-sleep with her and to use a paci at night to reduce the risk of SIDS. Really the risk comes from you rolling onto baby or blanket or pillow suffocating baby, as long as you're careful you should be fine.

@ladybug91, see I thought it just happen because that's how the researchers show it. I never let her sleep with pillows or blankets and know I wouldn't roll over on her. My husband May so I usually sleep on the middle and let her sleep on the opposite side just in case.

SIDS is just another way of saying "the parents didn't have enough common sense to keep baby alive". Babies, humans, living things that are perfectly normal DO NOT just suddenly die!! Use your head and common sense and she will be fine! You are the only one who knows if you'll possibly roll on her. Or if there is to many pillows and blankets in bed. Those babies suffocate, that's how they die. It's not just spontaneous!!!!!

I wasn't getting enough sleep once I went back to work with my first so I ended up nursing him in bed and leaving him with me. I felt better and slept better (and so did my husband). I'm also a light sleeper so if he made a sound I was was up. He's 3 now and my 4 month old starts the night in her bed and ends up with me in the early morning feeding.

Just be careful on whatever you decide.

It's because some parents have rolled over onto baby and baby has gotten a blanket over the face that suffocates them. My bassinet stood beside the bed and she was swaddled and we never had a problem.

Yeah see usually when she sleeps with me in bed, it's just her and I. Occasionally like weekends my husband is in bed with us but I keep her closer to me since I'm a light sleeper and don't move when I sleep. My husband is not as light of a sleeper as I am

I've heard both ends of it. So far I haven't had my son in bed with me at night because my partner moves a lot. But during the day when it's just me and him we nap together. My little sister died from sids and she was in her crib.they don't truly know what causes it

It actually reduces sids if they sleep with you or in the same room

I've been reading up on it also. I read somewhere that it can lower the risk because the baby is right next to you or something like that feeling you breathe idk really remember.. all I know is it's stressful. the whole pregnancy and after your child is born. ugh first we worry about miscarriage then stillborn and then SIDS. mom life isn't for the weak minded the stress could definitely cause someone to go insane. than when they are older you stress about sex partying broken hearts. ugh😧

Honestly my son has slept in bed with me and my hubby since he was about two weeks old and he's now 4 months . They say you can't prevent SIDS and that it just happens. But I don't believe that it all about taking the precautions I'm a light sleeper also I don't move at all so those are two positive. And I make sure he has on a warm sleeper so that he doesn't need a blanket because most infants die for suffocation with blankets or sheets. Yet if you are scared and won't more security and reassurance I'll say just keep her in her bassinet when ever she's sleeping and your sleeping. Sorry for the long rant

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!

FTM problems... So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It's making me sad. Like I wish I could quit my job and be home with her.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
