Am I creating an issue?! Oliver is 6.5wks and he loves sleeping on mama's chest (Mama loves it too). At night we have a slumber party in the living room, (it just works better this way). Oliver starts the night in his rock and play but finishes on mama's chest in the recliner. The last 2 nights, he has slept much longer than normal, (4-5hrs - thank god). It's nice getting a little more sleep than 2hrs at a time. I feel he will sleep this long only if he is on me. Is this going to be a hard habit to kick if we continue like this?! And when should we start trying the crib?? Help!

My little girl slept on my chest for at least a month, maybe longer. One night I just laid her in bed beside me and she started sleeping better since she moved around so much. She still likes to lay on my chest some when napping but other than that I have no problems.

I did this with my daughter and it took me months to get her out of my bed when she got older. I would start the good sleeping habits now just from experience. My twins are the same age as your son and it took time for them to sleep in their rock and plays more than 2 hours at a time but now they are sleeping 5+ hours in them. I refuse to let them sleep with me after my experience with my 7 year old.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

So my doctor says I have to start putting the baby in his crib at night and letting him cry it out when he wakes for a bottle. She says he should be sleeping 10-12 hours at a time by now (he only sleeps about 2-3 hours before he wakes wanting a bottle or pacifier). She swears if we do this it won't take more than 3 nights for him to adjust and start sleeping better. She says that he should only get 1-2 naps a day too and we should lay him down at night as soon as he starts showing signs of being sleepy like rubbing his eyes, not waiting until he's exhausted. - I just don't know if I can do it, letting him cry at night.. I just don't know. Has anyone else done this?

son getting out of car seat

son getting out of car seat So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small for them. Are they to stop him from pushing the chest clip down? I just want to know if these will help before I take it apart to put them back on.

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.
