My 1 month has only slept once through the night but has now gotten to where he only wakes up once or twice a night so everyone's been telling me to start putting rice cereal in his milk to help him sleep longer so I decided to give it a try last night well he woke 4 times he was waking up every 2 hours and except for the little time he was sleeping he was screaming. Help I don't know what I did wrong!

your baby is way too young. Drs now a days are not up to date on the fact that it has zero nutritional value and contains arsenic. research open gut before giving your baby anything but breastmilk or formula. Feeding anything before 6 months is not recommended due to open gut.
@alipaige6399, Ive tried it all! Even oatmeal! Baby food with oatmeal or cereal in it! I never thought my baby could sleep worse!! He woke up 5-6 times per night every time I gave him anything of the sort!
That's just what his doctor had told me if he wasn't sleeping good at night to start introducing rice cereal so I did but it made him wake up way more instead of helping him sleep I'm defiantly not giving him any more rice cereal for now because last night was rough @amaperalta03, @alleykat21, @chelseaepley, @trice4990,
Your baby is still so young. Follow his cues and feed him when he's hungry. Giving a baby cereal as a filler at this young of age is very unsafe
Yeah feeding every couple hours has to go on for the first couple months. It totally sucks. Haha. Just tiring! but I gave my son rice cereal around 4 months. And then he slowly started sleeping all night.
Ive tried to give my son cereal every month and it makes him sleep worse! His stomach can't handle it! Plus yeah you're not suppose to give them cereal till they're older and their stomachs are more developed
His belly was probably too ful. It's normal for babies to wake up during the night until they're 6+ months old. @alipaige6399,
Waking up once or twice at night when he's only one month old is actually really good. My 3 month old wakes up once at night to eat now. When he was a month old, he woke up every two hours.
