I know how U feel . I felt worst not knowing what to expect . Just stay strong for her . She will be out anytime. It's better she's getting taking care of . I hand my crying moment on and off . Some babies need a little help on adjusting to world. Sadly U see other babies in there on worst condition. Babies usually lose weight when there born, than start gaining it back.
@susie_q83 😫 Thank you so much for praying for her. I'm glad your baby is okay too. It must have been so scary your baby to be there for 3 day. My mothers heart is crying.
My baby was in nicu for 3 days 2 night for high BWC . They had to do a blood culture and thank god everything came back good. But she was starting to get yellowish but her test blood test was ok . The nurse told me the more she pees/ poops it will go away . Don't worry she will be good soon. I know it's heartbreaking 💔 it was the worst feeling leaving my baby in the hospital. And to me I didn't really know what was going on . Thank god it was just a scary moment and she's good. Just pray for her . I'll pray for her too 🙏 keep strong
@ciraclesmiracle We managed to wake her up to feed (sadly almost 5 hours after her last feeding) She's had a lot more than yesterday and is pooping more. Not as much as we want but we are getting there. Trying to stay positive
I hope so! Will thing good thoughts for you 🙏 You've got such a sound sleeper! My son was awake every couple hours from his first days--it's a blessing and a curse because at 7mo he still wakes every 3 hours to eat.
@happy2haveu, make sure you're eating and drinking enough--drink some Gatorade every day and nurse frequently, especially overnight. That's the best thing you can do to stimulate milk production. If you are having a hard time keeping her awake undress her, tickle her feet, stroke her cheek or put a damp cloth on her back, belly or neck.
@ciraclesmiracle Yeah Ive woken her up as much as possible and I'm supplmenting with formula and Im trying to pump too but my milk still hasnt fully come in. 😥😥😥😥
@cubanese Yeah I'm trying to wake her as much as possible my MIL and FIL are trying to help me but she just wont wake but shes making more progress. What would you say should be the minimum amount of milk I should feed her (ounces wise for each feeding 3 hours apart)? Shes had more today. I hope she gets better 😢
It's okay my son had jaundice bad too an kept losing weight too.. had too have a billy belt throughout the night for 3months after birth and everything so it's not your fault nor anyone's fault.. it's just a sickness sometimes babies get.. it'll pass❤ stay strong momma
@eryka616, the baby probably became jaundiced because she wasn't woken to feed. That's most likely what happened to your baby too. "Never wake a sleeping baby" only pertains to older babies--not newborns. I swear I'm not trying to be catty, I just want you to realize that for your next pregnancy or the next time you give advice.
