Okay, so my daughter is a week old today and she refuses to sleep laying flat on her back in her bassinet. She'll sleep while I'm holding her, in her swing, lying next to me on my bed, or in her bouncy seat, but not in the bassinet. Any advice? She seemed to sleep okay in the hospital bassinet, but will not sleep in ours.
Thanks ladies! I thought about a rock n play, I just wasn't sure if it was safe for sleeping.

My son was like that until I figured out the his bassinet pad wasn't soft enough. Luckily ours came apart. What I did was wrap a receiving blanket around the pad. Then put the cover sheet back over it then he slept on his back no problem. Maybe try to wrapping a blanket around it tightly. It might just not be soft enough for her.
mine hated the bassinet too! We tried a rock n play and that worked a lot better. I think being on a slight incline made her more comfortable. we moved her to her crib at 3 months and she transitioned fine
@mama_kay I haven't tried our crib yet, but I really want to have her in our room for now. I hope you have better luck soon! I know I'm about to lose my mind and it's only been a week. Lol
I laid with her on my chest at night.. so I didn't sleep much, but she slept good on her back in her crib. My daughter is 2 months now & im having the hardest time keeping her asleep after laying her down anywhere. She wakes up right away! & cries until me or her dad pick her up.
@mama_kay How did you get any rest at night? I'm having a really hard time. My husband and I have to take turns staying up with her, but it's usually mostly me staying up because she has to nurse so often.
How long do you hold her after she falls asleep? My almost one year falls asleep in my arms then I have to hold her for like 20 minutes after then put her in her crib
