Ladies...I need some advice please! I went for my anatomy scan last week and I got a call back saying there was a small cyst on his brain...but apparently this is normal? What the heck! What's normal about that???? Everything else came back just fine. But this cyst if giving me nightmares. I've also been diagnosed with a low lying placenta. Has anyone been through this before? Or even know someone who has? I need some peace of mind.
@chaylalove, thank you 💙 I also have a level 2 ultrasound I have to go too, they will call me to schedule it this weeks, what is a level 2 ultrasound? What did they do? Or look for? It seems so intense lol
It just happens sometimes early when the brain is developing! I did get one it was gone when they did the level 2 and the tech said that they see them all the time and that they are harmless :)
@ryliannsmommy, wow really? That makes me feel better. I'm so nervous 😩 I've been looking up/finding all this awful info on what could be causing it.. I pray it will go away. & When are you due! We might have the same/similar due dates! Did they tell you thats when the vanish?
No they never told me exactly what causes them I just had frequent ultrasounds and I went for one and they were all gone praise God. I have read about a lot of fetuses that have had them and they have all been ok by birth
@raehow, wow.. I pray and pray and pray there is nothing wrong. I wonder why it happens.. did they give you a level 2 ultrasound? I'm supposed to schedule one this week
@kateyez5, my goodness! Did they ever say what causes them? I've been freaking out! Overthinking and looking up everything that it could be a sign off😩 I've been a wreck over it. This is my first baby
Hunny don't worry... on my anatomy ultrasound they told me she had fluid on the brain when I went for the level 2 ultrasound there was NO fluid on the brain!!!! Stay positive and they can sometimes think they see things on the ultrasound cause of a bad angle and it really not be there ❤️
I haven't been threw this or no anyone who has all I can say is don't stress yourself and just pray everyday over your baby and before every appt for positive news
I guess the biggest risk is that it's a soft marker for Trisomy 18... but I'm only 20 and Trisomy 18 is a severe physically deforming disease.. and everything else turned up just fine, they say his cyst should dissolve by the 3rd trimester...but they still want me in for a Level 2 Ultrasound, has anyone been to one before? HELP! Mommy worries to the MAX
