I'm feeling so overwhelmed 😭 my son won't suck but my breasts are hard and filled with milk idk how to get him to latch on and suck he gets so frustrated so quick and i feel so helpless and terrible for not being able to feed him enough 😭😭😭😭 i need help ladies i'm so desperate i feel like a horrible mom!💔

my baby did bottle nd shield he now laches perfect with out shield and he never got nipple confusion niether so don't be scared to use a bottle with him or nipple shield. .. how are u doing tho momma did u get some relive?
Try not to worry too much being that it's just the beginning so you're both still learning what's best for you. To relieve the discomfort definitely start pumping if you haven't already. Staying engorged can lead to mastitis and you don't want that. Don't worry, if you have to feed baby your milk trough a bottle at first it's okay! I did it from day 9 to my son was about 2 months old because I had mastitis then thrush, etc. he went right back to boob even better than before, and we've been EBF ever since. If it's painful to get baby to latch buy nipple shields, some people swear by them! Try squeezing a little milk into baby's mouth and if you can manage it slightly pull their chin down while trying to get them to latch and it will help them get all the way on. Try different positions breastfeeding too! The way baby is positioned can affect your breasts and cause pain if you are repeatedly feeding in the same position. I hope this helps! For your pain you can also use ice/heat packs made by lansinoh specifically for your breasts. And if you don't already have some, get some nipple butter!
keep trying. do skin to skin contact. it takes a while for them to fully figure it out. you can also pump like the lovely lady above me suggested. but try to get baby to latch before giving a bottle. at that age it can lead to nipple confusion and that's very very hard to fix. you could also use a nipple shield but that can also be hard to get them off of. just keep trying. stay calm. they can feel you getting antsy so they do as well.

Sucks. I won't be able to feel my baby boy like every other first time mom:/ my placenta is in the front of my baby. I know I should be happy that he is healthy and growing. Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but.....
