Picking a car seat is so hard!! I just want one that's going to keep her safe, comfortable for her, and roomy and not $300-$400 bucks! Because the one she has now is so narrow and well she is not a smal baby obviously she's a big girl. And she HATES it. All she does is cry in this one now.

Yes they are! If it says anything I bought a 45$ cosco seat as an extra for my daughter. As long as you install them correctly and practice the right car seat safety they're all safe

The grow and go is a good one. Also the graco extend to fit is a great seat. There's also a few other gracos that do rear facing such as the size4me fit4me and the contender.
@babynessa, that's one of handle full of car seat I was looking at. I think I'm gonna go to the store and test them out. I think that'll help me make up my mind better

I just recently bought the Safety 1st Grow and Go 3-in-1 for less than $200 at Walmart. My daughter is stocky for her age and she loves it. It has a bunch of cushion and as your child grows you take an insert out.

Great seat. Just know that the limits on it are short lived. It'll most likely get your little rear facing to 2-2.5 yrs old but you won't be able to forward face in this seat because the seat completely maxes out at 40 lbs and 40"
