I need to have what I''ve been calling the talk with my mom. she's an addict, but I trust her undoubtedly. but I dint want her using around jaxton. so I have to tell her either get clean or dont be around your grandson. how do i do this? she's been helping so much. shes not dangerous but it's still not okay. help please

best advice is to be completely honest, and try to do it while she is straight.. if you can verbally tell her write her a letter. I have addicts in my family and they kbow they are welcome around me let alone my child. mom and I haven't talked I years and she ended up passing away in may, never knew I was preg.

My dad couldn't get clean so my daughter doesn't know him. I have a hard time believing long time users can stop. If she does it is not going to be easy fun or fast. It's going to be an effort you both have to put up. I tried for years to get my dad to stop. I don't know I just couldn't take it if an accident happened to my love cuz I couldn't cut him off cuz he won't stop. I pray for you and your famipy

I cut my mom and my oldest sister out of my life because they are on drugs. I just said what I felt. But I wasn't nice about it. My mom abandoned all four of her kids and my sister is putting her five girls through hell. So I just told them they will never be allowed around my daughter. If I were to take my daughter back to Cali to visit my other sister and my 10 nieces and nephews and either one shows up. I will take my daughter and leave. I don't want my daughter to know her aunt as a druggie. I want her to know her aunt as the fun beautiful loving aunt she was before she got on drugs. I also told my sister I'm sorry if it hurts her feelings but I have to do what's best for my daughter. My other sister allows her kids to be around our drug addict sister and I can't do it. I can't allow my daughter to see her aunt high. Just be honest. She may get offended and hurt but do what you think is best. I lost communication with my oldest sister because of her drug use but as much as it hurts, I know my daughter is safe and will never be surrounded by it.
