I don't know why but I am smelling skittles so strongly right now and there are no skittles in this house lol
If you have no symptoms of diabetes, I wouldn't worry about it. I definitely didn't mean to scare you! I'd check if someone changed soaps, using air spray or maybe a candy fell by heating vents, etc.
I don't know it just all the sudden hit me smells like skittles to me that's the only way i can describe it it's weird @bonniesue
@ssdj4, Yes, I've smelt it on family members. It's kinda sickly sweet... my cousin doesn't take care of his diabetes at all. He drinks, eats garbage and doesn't take his insulin. He's 27, no teeth and has been in a diabetic coma 3x.
does that really happen? I'm diabetic and I've never had the sweet smell thing happen to me. @bonniesue
My family has diabetics in it and when your sugars are out of control you smell sweet. Like from your own skin you omit a sweet smell. It's probably not that. Just only thing that crossed my mind
not that I know of do you smell stuff like that when your diabetic? @bonniesue
@ssdj4, diabetic ketoacidosis. I just googled the name for it. It says it's sweet breath but I think I've smelled it on his skin as well. It's very severe
